Molded by the people.
Owned by the culture.
The algorithm is shaped by the community together — not hidden behind an agenda. What trends, what connects, what matters — that’s yours to decide.

People
John — CTO of ETAPX.
John leads engineering across the ETAPX stack — from the real-time layer and protocol work to the systems that keep Whistlr, Influxx, and Ocsidian shipping as one house. He builds for speed without cutting corners: clear architecture, honest tradeoffs, and a culture where the people who ship it own the quality.

Build
Our Mindset behind every product we ship.
01 — Built in-house.
Every product is engineered by our own team end-to-end — from the rendering layer and real-time protocol up through the client surfaces people actually touch. We do not rent our core stack from a third party and hope it holds. That ownership is how we ship Whistlr, Influxx, Ocsidian, and the rest of the ETAPX family on one cadence, with one standard of craft, and without waiting on someone else’s roadmap.
In-house also means the people who design the product can walk down the hall (or into the same channel) as the people who ship it. Feedback loops stay short. Bugs die faster. Features land with the intention they were drawn with — not diluted by a handoff across companies.
02 — Owned by users.
Content, audience, and value belong to the people who create them — not locked inside a black-box feed that only the platform can monetize. We build for portability and verifiability: your identity, your relationships, and the work you publish should move with you, not dissolve when a policy changes.
That shows up in how we design monetization, creator tools, and community surfaces. Reach is earned, not rented. Audience is a relationship, not a metric we extract. When something generates value on ETAPX, the people who made that value possible are meant to keep the leverage — programmable where it helps, transparent where it matters.
03 — Open by default.
APIs, schemas, and design systems ship in the open. No silent walled gardens, no “trust us” layers you cannot inspect. If a surface is meant to be extended, documented, or automated, we treat that as a first-class product decision — not an afterthought buried in a partner program.
Open does not mean careless. It means clear contracts, predictable behavior, and the ability for builders inside and outside the house to plug in without reverse-engineering us. That is how a family of products stays coherent as it grows.
These three commitments sit behind every release across Whistlr, Influxx, Ocsidian, and the rest of the ETAPX family. We don’t outsource the core. We don’t lock users into a black box. We ship the stack we stand behind — and we keep the keys with the people who use it.
Founder & CEO
AJ
AJ is the founder and CEO of ETAPX — the company behind Whistlr and a growing product house spanning social, creators, live, commerce, GLSRM, Ocsidian, and Influxx. He still drives product at every level: writing code, reviewing design, and shipping so nothing leaves without his fingerprint on it.
He started ETAPX because the last generation of platforms treated people like inventory — feeds that harvest attention, tools that take more than they give. His bet is simpler: people need spaces that help them connect, create, earn, and show up as themselves — tools that return more than they take.
That conviction shapes how he leads. Ship early, listen hard, iterate fast. Product stays close to the founder so the company can move. Features reach real users before speculation hardens into roadmap. Every decision is weighed against one constraint: does this protect the trust between the platform and the people who use it?
