Scheduling Posts and Streams in Advance
Consistency is one of the strongest drivers of audience growth, and scheduling makes consistency far easier to maintain. Instead of publishing everything the moment it's ready, Creator Studio lets you plan posts and live streams ahead of time so your content goes out exactly when you want it to, even when you're not online to hit publish yourself.
Scheduling a Post or Stream
From Creator Studio, select Schedule from the content creation menu. Choose whether you're scheduling a post or a live stream, then set the date and time you'd like it to go live. For posts, finish drafting your content as you normally would before confirming the schedule. For streams, fill in a title and description so followers know what to expect, then confirm. Scheduled items appear on your content calendar inside Creator Studio, giving you a clear view of everything coming up.
Scheduling doesn't limit you to one item at a time — many creators plan out an entire week or more in advance, mixing scheduled posts and streams to keep a steady presence without needing to be online constantly. The content calendar view makes it easy to see gaps in your schedule and plan around them.
Editing or Canceling a Scheduled Item
Any item on your content calendar can be opened for editing right up until it goes live. Adjust the date, time, title, or content as needed, and your followers will see the updated information reflected automatically. If you need to cancel a scheduled post or stream entirely, select Cancel from the item's menu — canceled items are removed from the calendar and no notification is sent to followers, since nothing was published.
- Edit anytime before publishing: Scheduled posts and streams remain fully editable until the moment they go live.
- Reschedule instead of canceling: If your plans shift, changing the date and time keeps the item active rather than starting over.
- Cancellations are silent: Removing a scheduled item doesn't notify followers, since it was never published.
- Calendar view shows everything at once: Use the content calendar in Creator Studio to see all upcoming scheduled posts and streams together.
A schedule followers can count on builds an audience that shows up before you even start streaming.
How Followers Are Notified Ahead of a Scheduled Stream
Once a stream is scheduled, followers who have notifications enabled receive an alert letting them know a stream is coming up, along with its title and scheduled time. A reminder is typically sent again as the stream is about to start, helping followers catch it live rather than missing it and finding it after the fact. Scheduled streams also appear on your profile ahead of time, so even followers without notifications enabled can see what's coming and plan to tune in.
Giving your scheduled stream a clear, specific title makes a meaningful difference in how many followers show up live. A vague title gives little reason to plan around it, while a specific one tells your audience exactly what they'd be tuning in for — and that clarity carries through to the notification they receive.
