Opening a business account is the easy part. The real work starts the day after, when orders come in, customers send questions, a live stream needs a product pinned, and someone has to decide whether an ad is worth running. Managing your business account on Whistlr means knowing where each of those jobs lives and how the pieces connect. Over the past few months we've moved a lot of business tools around: the Whistlr for Business application now opens from more places in the app, the side drawer shows business shortcuts, Ad tools let you boost a post from your phone, and the Whistlr for Business dashboard on the web has been rebuilt around a single sidebar. This article explains what a Whistlr business account includes, how to switch to one, how to run your storefront, live selling, ads, insights, and payouts day to day, how to talk with customers, and how to keep the account secure as your business grows.
If you've followed PX News, you've already read about the requirements for business users and storefronts, how to scale your business and set your own prices, why we built Nearby to spotlight local businesses, and how instant and business withdrawals differ. This piece is the practical companion to those articles: where to tap, what each screen does, and which habits keep a business account healthy. Everything described here is live in the app or on the web today unless we say otherwise.
What Is a Whistlr Business Account?
A Whistlr business account is your regular Whistlr account, upgraded with professional tools once your business details are verified. It isn't a separate app. The same account you post, message, and go live from becomes the home of your shop, your ads, and your earnings.
Here's what a verified business account adds:
- Verified Business badge: A badge on your profile that tells customers they're dealing with a real, verified business.
- Whistlr GO storefront: A shop on your profile with products, checkout, orders, earnings, disputes, and compliance tools, plus a Store tab that shows your products right on your profile.
- Live Shopping: The ability to pin products during a live stream so viewers can shop while they watch.
- Ad tools and Ads Manager: Boost a post from the app, or build full campaigns in the Whistlr for Business dashboard on the web.
- Creator Wallet: One place to see what you've earned and withdraw it.
- Custom Gems: Gems you name and price yourself for supporters to send.
- Insights: A professional dashboard showing how your profile and content perform.
Opening a storefront costs $0, and there's no follower minimum for business verification. A brand-new shop can verify on day one.
How to Switch to a Business Account on Whistlr
Switching to a business account starts with the Whistlr for Business page in the app. The page is titled "Grow your business on Whistlr," and it walks through what you get: a storefront where people can shop your products, earnings that land in your Creator Wallet and pay out to your bank, deeper insights into what your audience loves, and a verification process that takes a few minutes. Every button on the page starts the same application.
Where to Find the Business Application
There are two ways to open it:
- Account Center: Under For professionals, tap Whistlr for Business. This row only appears for accounts that aren't business accounts yet.
- The side drawer: Swipe in from the left edge of the app to open the drawer. If your account isn't a business account, you'll see a Monetize row with an Apply now label. Tapping it opens the Whistlr for Business page directly. This shortcut is rolling out with the latest version of the app, so if you don't see it yet, Account Center gets you to the same place.
What Verification Involves
Before you apply, your account needs an email address. If there's no email on file, Whistlr asks you to add one first, since that's where important business and payment notices go. When you tap Get started, Whistlr opens a secure verification flow with our payments partner in the in-app browser. You confirm your identity and your business details there, and the sensitive information is handled directly in that flow, not stored in Whistlr. When you're done, you come right back to the app.
Once your details are confirmed and your account is able to accept payments, the upgrade happens on its own. Your account becomes a business account, the Verified Business badge appears on your profile, and your business tools unlock. If anything is still pending, you'll see a status update rather than being left to guess. You must be 18 or older to sell on Whistlr.
"A business shouldn't have to hunt for the door. If you're on Whistlr and you're ready to sell, the application should be one swipe away, not buried five menus deep. We put it in the drawer because that's where people already go when they want to get something done."

How to Set Up Your Business Profile
Your profile is your storefront window. Most people who find your business will see your profile before they ever see a product page, so it's worth setting up carefully.
- Name, bio, and links: Open Edit profile and make sure your name, bio, and links say clearly what you sell.
- Profile photo and banner: Use the move-and-scale cropper to frame your logo or storefront photo, and add a banner image or video that shows your product or your space.
- Show Store tab: Verified business accounts get a Show Store tab switch in Edit profile. Leave it on and your live physical products appear in a Store tab on your profile. Turn it off if you'd rather keep products off your profile for now.
- Contact Options: Decide who can reach you and what contact details show on your profile. More on that in the messaging section below.
A product only appears in your Store tab when it's live, it's a physical product, and it's set to be visible on your profile. If something is missing, check those three settings first.
What Is Business+ and the Whistlr for Business Dashboard?
The app handles most day-to-day business tasks, but some work is easier on a bigger screen. That's what the Whistlr for Business dashboard on the web is for. On Whistlr on the web, the account menu has a Business+ link that opens it, and in the app, Account Center has a Partners Dashboard row under For professionals that goes to the same place.
The dashboard is organized into five groups in one sidebar:
- Workspace: An Overview of your business and a Calendar for planning.
- Storefront: Home, Trending, Orders, Products (with single uploads, file uploads, and CSV uploads), Customers, Earnings, Disputes, Reviews, and Notifications.
- Ads Manager: Overview, Campaigns, Creative Library, Reach, Benchmarks, Attribution, Reports, and Billing.
- Creator Studio: Analytics, WTC Gems, and a link to Studio Set.
- Account: Withdraw, Settings, and Guidelines.
Business+ Requirements: Verification Comes First
The dashboard's business surfaces stay locked until your account is a verified business. That includes Storefront, Ads Manager, and Studio Set, and even the dashboard's Messages and Notifications. The Get Verified page lays out the path in four steps: start the identity verification, confirm your business details, return to Whistlr, and let everything unlock automatically once you're approved. It's the same verification as the app, so you only do it once, and whichever side you verify on, the other side unlocks too.
The dashboard also has an Account Health page that scores your setup out of 100 and lists what's missing, like tax forms, a return policy, and payout setup. Treat anything below Healthy as a to-do list.
How to Manage Your Whistlr GO Storefront
Your storefront runs on Whistlr GO, and you can manage it from either the app or the web. In the app, everything sits under For professionals in Account Center:
- Whistlr GO: Your business home, with sales, earnings, and recent activity at a glance.
- Products: Your catalog. Add, edit, and update prices and stock as things change.
- Orders & Fulfillment: Every order and its status. Add a tracking number and Whistlr detects the carrier and marks the order as shipped.
- Earnings: What your store has made, after fees.
- Disputes: Customer disputes and complaints, with the tools to resolve them.
- Compliance: Tax forms, legal documents, and the policies your store follows.
Before you can upload products, you accept the Whistlr Business Merchant Operating Agreement, effective April 9, 2026. It sets out what can and can't be sold and what every seller is responsible for. Whistlr GO takes a single 15% platform fee on each sale, and if you refund an order, the platform fee is returned too.
If you're bringing over an existing catalog, the web dashboard is the faster route, since you can upload a file or a CSV instead of listing items one by one.
How to Sell Live With Live Shopping, Business Havens, and Nearby
Some of the best selling on Whistlr happens in real time. A business account turns your live streams and your location into storefronts of their own.
Live Shopping
When you go live as a business account, the host controls include Pin a product. Tap it to pick an item from your Whistlr GO store and pin it on screen, so viewers can tap through and buy while you talk about it. You need a business account and at least one product in your store before you can pin anything. If your store is empty, Whistlr reminds you to add products to Whistlr GO first.
Business hosts can also tap Turn on gems so viewers can send Gems during the stream. The same applies to public live audio rooms: business hosts can turn on Gems for a room or make the room a Haven.
Business Havens and Live Havens
A Haven is a community pinned to a real place. A business can pin a Haven to its location so the conversation about the spot lives right on the map, with its own feed, members, and replies. While you're live, the Haven control lets you choose Make this live a Haven to pin your stream to your current location, so people nearby can see it and tap in. Once the Live Haven is running, the same control shows how many people came in from the pin and how many are around.
Nearby for Local Businesses
Nearby is Whistlr's map of Havens, lives, and posts around you, browsed with category chips like Business, Food, and Popular. Creating a Haven and appearing on Nearby is free. The cards at the bottom rotate so Havens a person hasn't seen yet come first, and Popular ranks Havens by how many people are there right now, so a small business with a busy afternoon can rise on the map. Nearby shows posts and places, never people's live locations, so your customers stay in control of their privacy.
How to Run Ads From Your Whistlr Business Account
Ads are optional. When you're ready to reach new customers faster, you can boost a post from the app or build a full campaign on the web.
Boost a Post From the App
In the app, open Ad tools from Account Center under For professionals, from the Ads row in the side drawer, or from Insights. Ad tools is for business accounts only. The page shows your Ad performance over the last 7, 30, or 90 days, including accounts reached, impressions, clicks, and amount spent. Below that is a Boost a post rail of your own posts, your Recent ads, Payments, and Whistlr's Advertising Policies.
Boosting a post takes a few short steps:
- Pick a post. Choose a photo or video from the Boost a post rail and tap Boost post.
- Choose a goal. Pick More profile visits or More website visits.
- Choose an audience. Automatic reaches people similar to your Peers, or you can build your own audience with locations, interests, an age range starting at 18, and gender.
- Set a budget and duration. Daily budgets run from $5 to $500, for 1 to 30 days.
- Add a payment method. Use a debit or credit card. Charges go to your ad balance.
- Review and boost. Check the preview and summary, then tap Boost post.
Every ad is reviewed against Whistlr's Advertising Policies. After you submit, you'll see one of three results: your ad is running, your ad is in review, or your ad wasn't approved. If it's still in review or wasn't approved, you haven't been charged.
Ads Manager on the Web
For more control, the Ads Manager section of the Whistlr for Business dashboard lets you build campaigns step by step. You choose a campaign objective (Profile Growth, Traffic, Engagement, or Sales), name your campaign, and set its budget. Then you define the audience by age, gender, and interests, choose location and placements, add your ad creative with media, text, and a destination, preview it across placements, and submit it for approval. The Creative Library keeps your uploads in one place, and Reach, Benchmarks, Attribution, and Reports show what your spend accomplished.
"Most small businesses don't need a complicated ad strategy. They need to put their best post in front of more of the right people, see what it cost, and see what it did. Boosting from your phone covers that. When you're ready for more, Ads Manager is there, and it uses the same account and the same rules."

How to Read Your Business Insights on Whistlr
Insights is the professional dashboard for verified accounts, including business accounts. You can open it from the Insights row in the side drawer. It starts with three numbers for the current period, each of which opens a detailed view:
- Views: How often your content was seen.
- Interactions: How people engaged with it.
- New peers: How many new peers you gained.
Below the numbers, Your tools collects the shortcuts a business uses most: Monthly recap, Best practices, Ad tools, Gems, and Manage Shop. Best practices is a library of guidance on creation, engagement, reach, growth, and monetization. Insights pages are also available on Whistlr on the web.
Insights isn't the only place to watch your numbers. Your Whistlr GO home covers store performance, Ad tools and Ads Manager cover ad results, and the Earnings Report in Account Center charts your revenue over time.
How to Withdraw Earnings: Instant vs. Business Withdrawals
Your earnings land in your Creator Wallet. Business accounts can open it from Account Center under Your account or from the Creator Wallet row in the side drawer. The wallet shows your balance, and its payout options include Withdraw, Instant withdraw, Payout history, and Bank account.
- Business (standard) withdrawal: Tap Withdraw and your payout follows the standard schedule, arriving in a few business days.
- Instant withdrawal: Tap Instant withdraw and the money arrives in minutes. Instant costs more than standard, and the payment processor may charge an additional fee.
- Payout history: Every payout you've requested and where it stands.
- Bank account: The account your payouts go to.
Before any withdrawal goes through, Whistlr shows a confirmation with the fees and roughly how much you'll receive, so you never have to guess. You pick the speed each time. On the web, the Withdraw page in the Whistlr for Business dashboard offers the same two choices, with the fee breakdown and estimated arrival shown before you confirm.
How to Message Clients From Your Business Account
Whistlr is built around real relationships, including the one between a business and its customers.
- Your inbox: Customer conversations live in the same Messages inbox you already use, with photos, videos, and calls. Group chats work well for a VIP list.
- Business Suite messages on the web: The Whistlr for Business dashboard has a full Messages inbox too, so you can answer customers from a computer during busy days.
- Chat from your customer list: The Customers page in your storefront has a Chat button next to each buyer, so you can thank a first-time customer or tell a regular about a restock in one tap.
- Contact Options: Choose who can message you: Everyone, People you follow, Verified accounts only, or No one. You can also choose whether to show your phone number or email address on your profile, allow group invites, and accept calls from people you don't know.
One rule matters here: keep checkout on Whistlr. Messages are for questions, updates, and relationships. Sending buyers to pay somewhere else breaks the Merchant Operating Agreement and takes away the refunds and dispute protections your customers count on.
"The best businesses I know answer their customers like neighbors, not like a ticket system. That's the whole reason messaging sits inside the business account. When a customer asks a question, the answer should come from the person who runs the shop, and it should come fast."
— AJ, Founder & CEO, ETAPX
How to Switch Accounts and Keep Your Business Account Secure
Many business owners keep a personal account alongside their business account. Whistlr makes it easy to move between them without signing out.
Switching Between Accounts
On your own profile, tap your username at the top to open the account switcher. Each signed-in account has its own row, with the current one checked. Tap another account to switch to it, or long-press an account to remove it from the device. Add Whistlr account lets you sign in to another account, and Go to Accounts Center opens your settings. You can also manage this from Manage accounts in Account Center. You can keep up to 4 accounts on one device.
Keeping the Account Secure
- Review Active Sessions: Password & Security in Accounts Center lists the devices where your account is signed in, marks which are active or idle, and lets you sign out of any one of them.
- Sign out of all devices: If you lose a phone or think someone else has access, use Sign out of all devices to end every session at once.
- Keep your email current: Business and payment notices go to the email on your account, so make sure it's one you check.
- Don't share your sign-in: Your business account is tied to your earnings and your bank account. Keep your sign-in to yourself.

- Pin products every time you go live: A viewer who can tap a product while you're showing it is far more likely to buy.
- Start ads small: Boost one strong post with a modest daily budget, check the results in Ad tools, and grow from there.
- Pick your withdrawal speed on purpose: Use standard withdrawals for planned income and save instant for real emergencies.
- Check which account you're on: Look at the account switcher before posting if you manage more than one account.
"Running a business is hard enough without your tools making it harder. Our job is to make the account itself feel simple, so the owner can spend their energy on the product and the people. If you ever can't find something in your business account, that's on us to fix."
