Whistlr Studio Profile: Halo, Account Menu, Help, and Trust Policies
Your Whistlr profile is how viewers find you on a live stream, in chat, and across the Whistlr Network. In Creator Live Studio, the Account menu (gear in the header) opens Edit profile, official Whistlr and ETAPX destinations, Business+ paths, and sign-out. This guide covers the full profile editor—photo, cover, Halo, and Blip—the display fields you can publish, where viewers see your look, verification seals, the in-studio Help center for business accounts, and the public trust pages that govern Studio.
Open Edit profile from Creator Live Studio
Click the gear on the right of the Creator Live Studio header to open the Account menu, then choose Edit profile. The editor fills the studio with a live preview and a Save control. Cancel returns you to the cockpit without writing anything. The top of the editor is a four-tab media strip: Edit, Cover, Halo, and Blip. Edit is your still photo. Cover is the tall header that frames your name, badge, category, bio, mood, website, and friend counts. Halo is the live avatar decoration picker. Blip is a short looping video that becomes your animated profile photo. Switch tabs freely—nothing publishes until you tap Save.
Picking a photo, cover, Halo, or Blip only stages a preview. The studio toasts that your selection is ready and asks you to click Save to upload. Name and username are required before Save will run. On desktop you also get Reset / Discard and a sticky “You have unsaved changes” bar so you do not lose work by accident. Treat Save as the lock: if you leave without it, the previous published profile stays in place.
Photo, cover, and Blip limits
Profile photo (Edit tab) accepts still image files only, under 5 MB. Tap the circle or Change photo to pick a new still. Cover accepts a still image under 10 MB or a short looping video—8 seconds or less, under 50 MB—and videos loop silently. The cover Info control opens Cover Guidelines. Blip is a short video that plays as your animated avatar: video files only, 20 seconds or less, under 50 MB. Keep a still photo as well so surfaces that do not play motion still have a clear face.
- Profile photo (Edit): Still image only, under 5 MB. Change via the circle or Change photo control.
- Cover: Still image under 10 MB, or looping video 8 seconds or less and under 50 MB. Videos loop without sound. Cover Guidelines apply Community Guidelines.
- Blip: Animated avatar video only, 20 seconds or less, under 50 MB. Remove Blip clears the motion avatar without deleting your still photo.
- Default cover: If you never set a cover, Whistlr uses your avatar as the header. After a custom cover, Remove cover falls back to that default.
- Cover safety: No nudity, violence, or hateful content. Covers that break the rules can be removed without notice.
Display fields the form actually has
The form layout differs slightly between phone and desktop, but both write the same Whistlr profile. Full name and username are required. Usernames are 2–30 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, dots, and underscores only. The field sanitizes as you type and checks availability before you save. Use a name that follows Community Guidelines. Full name is required up to 100 characters; username is required up to 30. Desktop also offers a display name (up to 100)—the friendlier name next to your handle.
- Bio: Up to 160 characters with a live character count so you know when you are near the limit.
- Websites: Up to three website links. Add another link until you hit 3/3; extra rows can be removed when you no longer need them.
- Location: Search for a city and pick a place. The field is not free-typed free text—you select from search results.
- Category: Artist, Musician, Creator, Content Creator, Influencer, Entrepreneur, Developer, Designer, Writer, Photographer, Videographer, Podcaster, Streamer, Gamer, Athlete, Coach, Fitness, Chef, Food Blogger, Fashion, Beauty, Travel, Lifestyle, Educator, Journalist, Activist, Business, Brand, Public Figure, Politician, Nonprofit, or Other.
- Private Circle: When on, only approved members can see your posts.
- Pronouns (desktop): He/Him, She/Her, They/Them, He/They, She/They, Any Pronouns, or Ask My Pronouns.
- Gender: Male, Female, Non-binary, Custom, or Prefer not to say. Custom unlocks a Custom Gender field (50 characters).
- Birth date and Current Mood: Mood is a long list of public vibes, from Vibin’ to Locked In, shown on your public-facing profile surfaces.
- Relationship status: Optional partner picked from people who already follow you. Choosing a partner sends them a relationship request. Setting status back to Single ends the active relationship.
- Contact: Account email (shown as private on mobile), phone, plus desktop WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn handles without the @ prefix.
- Desktop Profile Features: Optional profile button type (None, Book, Reserve, Order Food, Call, Text, Email, Get Directions, Learn More, Shop Now, Sign Up, Watch, Listen, Download, Contact, Subscribe) and a button URL. If a profile song or flow is already on the account, you can mute or remove it here.
- Desktop Account Settings toggles: Similar Account Suggestions (“Let others discover your profile”) and Activity Status (“Let others see when you’re active”).
Account type is not a dropdown on this form. The editor loads Personal, Creator, or Business from your account and uses it to draw the verification seal on the cover preview. To move from a personal streamer to a monetized Business+ account, apply at the official partners site—do not look for a type switch in Edit profile. Streaming remains available to every signed-in Whistlr ID; monetization unlocks after the official Business+ path, not after a local toggle.
Save is the lock. Every photo, cover, Halo, Blip, and text field you stage is a preview until you confirm—Cancel and Discard leave the last published profile untouched.
Halo: live avatar decoration
A Halo is a live avatar decoration that frames your photo while you stream and on your profile. Open Edit profile, tap Halo, and you get a large preview of your face plus a full-width grid of named decorations. The first cell is None—tap it to clear a Halo. Every other cell is a named Halo; the selected name appears under the preview. Scroll the grid to load more decorations. The cover preview also wears the selected Halo around your face so you can see how the header, photo, and decoration sit together before you publish. If the catalog is empty, the picker says “No Halos available yet.”
How to set or clear a Halo
Open the Account menu, choose Edit profile, then open the Halo tab. Tap a Halo in the grid—the preview updates immediately on your photo. Scroll for more options as they load. Hit Save to lock the Halo on your profile. Cancel or Discard leaves the previous decoration in place. To remove a decoration without picking a replacement style, choose None, then Save.
- Studio stream meta: Your avatar (with Halo) and @username sit above the live session so room viewers recognize you at a glance.
- Live chat: Your display name and any verification seal appear next to messages you send.
- Public profile header: Name, category, bio, mood, websites, and friend counts appear under the cover, with your photo and Halo framing the identity block.
Verification badges and trust marks
A seal-shaped checkmark can appear next to your name on the cover preview, on studio stream meta, and next to names in live chat. The badge is not a sticker you pick in Edit profile. It appears only when your account type and verification status allow it. Personal accounts do not show a verification seal. Streaming is open to every signed-in Whistlr ID. The badge is a trust mark for Creator, Business, and official team accounts—apply for Business+ if you want the business path, not a fake checkmark sold in a DM.

- CreatorBoost — Verified by Whistlr: Eligible non-personal account with CreatorBoost.
- Verified Business: Business account seal on public and studio surfaces.
- Whistlr Team: Official team / Alpha account identity mark.
Because seals are status-driven, editing your display name or Halo will not invent a badge. If you need business monetization features—Gems store, live earnings, withdrawals—follow Apply for Business+ from the Account menu or Learn ETAPX, which both send you to the official partners destination. Nobody from Whistlr will sell you a Business+ upgrade, a verification badge, or access to your stream key in a private message.
Studio Account menu
The Account menu is the gear on the right of the Creator Live Studio header. It opens a compact sheet with your avatar, display name (or full name, then username), and @handle. From there you manage the profile, jump to official Whistlr properties, and sign out of Studio. Rows stay focused on profile, company destinations, monetization path, and session control—so you always know whether you are editing Studio itself or leaving for an official site.
- Edit profile: Opens the full profile editor described above (media strip plus display fields).
- Px Campus: Opens the official campus community in a new tab.
- ETAPX: Company home at etapx.us — ETAProjects Inc. / ETAPX.
- Business+ / Apply for Business+: Business accounts see Business+. Everyone else sees Apply for Business+ and is sent to partners.whistlr.business.
- Whistlr: The Whistlr Network at whistlr.network.
- Download Whistlr: The official iOS app — Whistlr: Watch, Share, Live.
- Learn ETAPX: Opens the in-studio Learn sheet: where a Go Live lands, how a business account works, and that streaming is free until you apply to earn.
- Earnings Withdrawal: Shown only on business accounts. Opens the official withdrawal flow for live earnings.
- Sign out: Ends the Studio session and returns you to sign-in.
Apply only on the official site. Business+ applications go through partners.whistlr.business—the same destination as Apply for Business+ in this menu and in Learn ETAPX.
Studio Help and public Support
Business accounts get a Help tab in Creator Live Studio. The page title is Creator Live Studio Guide, with the kicker Help Center and a search box: “Search setup, gems, payouts…”. Search filters the six articles on the page. If nothing matches, the guide suggests trying “stream key”, “OBS”, “gems”, or “payouts”. Public help also lives at /support for stream keys, payouts, and monetization when you are not signed into a business Studio, or when you want the marketing-site version of the same topics. - Stream ingest: Studio credentials—Server URL and Stream Key for this studio. Copy, Show / Hide the key, and Reset Stream Key. A Ready / Unavailable pill reflects whether a key is present.
- Encoder setup: Point OBS, Streamlabs, XSplit, Wirecast, vMix, or any RTMP-compatible encoder at a Custom service. Paste the Server URL and Stream Key, then Start Streaming.
- Quick start: Connect (credentials + preview) → Stream (set Title and Category in Stream Information) → Go Live Everywhere (distribute platform-wide with monetization).
- WTC Gems: Whistlr Traffic Coins are the native currency. Viewers buy Gems to support you. Custom branding, flexible pricing, instant payouts. Publish from the WTC tab: open a template, rename it, set a price, publish to your store.
- Earnings: Direct revenue to your business dashboard (no net-30 hold), instant withdrawals that typically arrive in 1–2 business days, and analytics for order value, top supporters, and peak times.
- Live dashboard: Viewer count synced with room presence, a Top Supporters leaderboard of Gem senders, and interactive chat—Send · Moderate · Reply.
From Help to first live session
Copy your Server URL and Stream Key from Stream ingest. In your encoder open Settings → Stream, set Service to Custom, and paste both values. Start Streaming and wait for the Studio preview. Set Title and Category in Stream Information, then go live. Publish Gems from the WTC tab when you are ready to earn. If a key was ever shared outside your machine, use Reset Stream Key in Help → Stream ingest, confirm the prompt, and paste the new key into your streaming software immediately—the old key stops working and the new one is the only ingest secret for this studio.
Policies, company, and how we treat your studio
Whistlr Live Studio is operated by ETAProjects Inc. (ETAPX). The company home is etapx.us. Legal and trust pages are public and do not require a Studio login. Support at /support covers stream keys, encoder setup, going live, Gems, payouts, and applying for monetization. Privacy Policy at /privacy explains how Whistlr Live Studio collects, uses, and protects data for streamers and viewers. - No key or badge sales: We do not sell access to your stream key, Server URL, or Studio login. Anyone offering a “faster ingest,” a “verified badge pack,” or a “Business+ unlock” outside partners.whistlr.business is not us.
- Credentials stay local: Treat the Server URL and Stream Key as secrets. Paste them only into your own encoder. Do not drop them in Discord, chat, or a shared document.
- Reset after a leak: If a key was shared, Reset Stream Key in Help → Stream ingest and update the encoder before you go live again.
- Official Business+ only: Apply for Business+ only at partners.whistlr.business. After verification, Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals unlock in Studio. Until then you can still stream—monetization stays locked, streaming does not.
Whistlr is for adults 18 and older. You own what you stream; you also agree to Community Guidelines—no illegal activity, harassment, hate, or explicit sexual content. Cover videos and Blips are public-facing media and follow the same rules as still photos and stream content. You can correct profile fields anytime in Edit profile. Privacy and terms questions go through the published /privacy and /terms-and-conditions pages, not through a third-party “security audit” pitch. Trust is operational, not theatrical: keep credentials on your machine, reset them if they leak, and use the official ETAPX and partners destinations linked from Studio. Profile checklist before you go live
Open Account menu → Edit profile. Confirm full name and username, then set photo, cover, Halo, and optional Blip within the file size and duration limits. Fill bio, category, mood, and up to three websites so stream meta and your public header tell a clear story. Review Private Circle, discovery, and activity toggles if you use desktop Account Settings. Save once—watch for the upload toast—then Cancel only when you intentionally want to abandon drafts.
