Live Gem Store During Stream: Publish, Sell, and Read the Gem Feed
Your live Gem store is the catalog viewers buy from while you stream in Whistlr Creator Live Studio. It is built from Whistlr Traffic Coins (WTC) — the native currency of support on Whistlr. You do not invent Gems from a blank form. Studio gives you renameable templates. You customize the name and the price from $0.50 to $500.00, publish, and the item is in the store for anyone watching that session. Business+ is required to monetize: without verification, the WTC tab, live Gem rail, Earnings, and withdrawals stay locked even though anyone signed in can still go live. This guide covers how the live store works during a stream, what viewers see, and how creators run support in the moment.
What the Live Store Is — and Is Not
The Gem store is a live-session storefront, not a tip jar and not a subscription paywall. Fans pay by sending named, priced Gems you published. Flexible pricing and custom branding are the two traits the WTC tab is built around. Instant path to the dashboard is the third: once a viewer buys, the money is not waiting on a weekly batch or a 30-day clock — it lands as Direct Revenue you can withdraw when you want, with typical bank arrival in one to two business days. Viewers can buy only while you are live. You can customize and publish any time the WTC tab is open; a publish is live in the store the moment it succeeds, but purchases only happen during the broadcast.
You keep the revenue. Payments go straight to your business dashboard as Direct Revenue — no holding period between the send and the balance you can withdraw.
Publish Before You Go Live
Open the WTC tab in Creator Live Studio. Click a template — defaults ship as Obsidian ($1), Astra ($5), Quartz ($10), Onyx ($25), Nova ($50), and Diamond ($100). Rename it to match your stream: “Hype Train,” “Super Chat,” “Tip Me,” “Support Stream,” or any name that sounds like you. Set a price from $0.50 to $500.00. Click Publish. The Gem is live in your store immediately, and a green Published badge replaces Draft. Each published Gem has two things the viewer actually sees: the name you chose and the price you set. The coin art travels with the template so the store still looks like a set of Gems, not a spreadsheet. If every Gem is still a draft when you hit Go Live, the store is empty and no one can pay you.
- Gem name: The label on the store item — goes live the moment you publish or update.
- Price ($0.50–$500): The amount the viewer pays per Gem — updates apply immediately on publish or edit.
- Published vs draft: Only published Gems appear in the viewer store; drafts stay in Studio only.
- Unpublish: Removes the item from the store immediately without deleting the template.
- Business+ verified: Required before WTC, live earnings, and withdrawals unlock in Studio.
- Whistlr Go payments: Required before publish; missing setup blocks the store and often causes empty grids.
Where Viewers Watch — and Shop
One Go Live is enough for reach. The same broadcast lands on whistlr.network, the iOS app, Discover, Flow, Following, Highlights, and your creator profile. The viewer does not need a special “paid stream” link. If they can watch you live on any of those surfaces, they can open the Gem store for that session. There is no follower minimum: a first-time Discover viewer can support you the same way a long-time follower can, once Business+, at least one published Gem, and a live session are true. Support is not gated on following you first.
What a Viewer Send Includes
From the viewer’s side, paying is pick, send, done. They open your published Gem store during the session, choose a Gem at the name and price you set, set a quantity if they want to stack support, optionally write a short message, and pay. Quantity lets them send more than one of the same Gem in a single action; Recent Gifts shows the multiplier (× 3, × 10) next to their name. If they leave the message blank, the feed falls back to “Sent [Gem name].” The amount paid is quantity times the Gem price, shown in dollars on the feed and in earnings. They are not filling out an invoice and they are not waiting for you to accept a request.
What Has to Be True Before Anyone Can Pay
Four conditions unlock live Gem payments. Business+ must be verified — apply once at partners.whistlr.business; after verification, Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals unlock in Studio. At least one Gem must be published — drafts never appear in the viewer store. You must be live — viewers purchase during the live session, and the live Gem feed only lists sends from the current stream. There is no follower gate to go live or to receive Gems once those three are true. If you can stream but cannot see Gems, you are almost always missing Business+ or a published Gem — not an audience size. Apply, publish, go live. Viewers who are already watching can pay you on that same stream.
The Live Gem Feed While You Stream
The left rail in Studio is the live Gem feed. It exists so you see every send as it happens — without leaving the preview, without opening a separate ledger, and without waiting for a recap after you end the stream. When the rail is empty it says “Waiting for Gems” and “Support will appear here as it happens.” The first send replaces that empty state. Business accounts get Gems and Viewers in that rail; everyone else sees Viewers only. Toggle the rail closed if you need the preview wider; open it again from the Gems control. Each row shows who sent it (name and avatar), how much, what they said (or “Sent [Gem name]”), when, and — on Recent Gifts — quantity multipliers. React with 👍, ❤️, or 🔥 to mark sends you already acknowledged on stream.
- Left rail — Live Gems: Real-time activity for the current session only; resets when the session ends.
- WTC tab — Recent Gifts: Same session sends with icon, sender, × quantity, message, and amount — useful off camera.
- Earnings tab: Running picture of WTC revenue — Total WTC Revenue, supporters, average order, Top Gem, peak times, Gem Performance.
- Reactions: Working checklist when several Gems land at once — react after you say the name on stream.
- Call the tile: Say the name and price out loud the first time you want it bought; the store is instant, discovery is your job.
Running the Store in Conversation
Talk about the store the way you talk about the stream. Mention the entry Gem for people who just arrived (“Support Stream is $1 if you just got here”). Call the hype Gem by the name chat already uses when energy peaks. When a send lands, use the rail: say the name, say the amount if it helps the room, and read the message if they left one. Between peaks, glance at Recent Gifts if the rail moved too fast. You can Edit name or price mid-stream if a tier is wrong, or Unpublish a dud without ending the broadcast. After the stream — or on a break — open Earnings, note Top Gem and average order, and decide whether the next session needs a rename, a price tweak inside $0.50–$500.00, or an unpublished quiet tile.
Sends only count while you are live. The live Gem feed resets with each new session, so you are always looking at support from this broadcast — not a mixed history from last week.
From Live Sends to Cash Out
The live feed answers “who just paid me?” Stream Earnings answers “how is this adding up?” Open Earnings for Total WTC Revenue (labeled “From gem purchases”), Gems sent, supporters, average order, Top Gem, top supporters, peak earning times, revenue over time, Gem performance by item, and transaction history. When you are ready to move money, withdraw from the business dashboard (View All Earnings / Pay out via Whistlr Go). Payments are already there with no holding period. Funds typically arrive in your bank in one to two business days after you withdraw. There is no follower minimum between a cleared send and the withdraw button.
Troubleshooting: Live but Nobody Can Pay
Start with the three unlocks. If Business+ is not verified, Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals stay locked even though streaming works — finish verification at partners.whistlr.business. If every Gem is still Draft, the viewer store is empty — publish at least one item from the WTC tab with a price between $0.50 and $500.00. If you are not live, there is no live-session store to buy from — go live and confirm the session is visible on the surfaces your audience uses. When those are true and a send still does not appear, confirm the viewer is on the current live session and that you are looking at the Gems rail or Recent Gifts for this broadcast, not a closed rail or another tab. If publish fails, finish payment setup in Whistlr Go and retry.
- Before go-live: Business+ verified, Whistlr Go payments ready, at least one entry Gem published with a stream-native name.
- On go-live: Same broadcast reaches web, iOS, Discover, Flow, Following, Highlights, and your profile.
- During stream: Watch Live Gems; use reactions as a thank-you checklist; name Gems out loud in chat.
- Off camera or break: Open WTC → Recent Gifts for the full stack with multipliers and messages.
- After stream: Read Earnings (Top Gem, average order, peak times) and Edit or Unpublish before the next live.
- Cash out: Withdraw on your schedule; expect typical bank arrival in one to two business days.
