Learn in Whistlr Studio: One Stream, Every Screen Walkthrough
Learn is the purple header button in Whistlr Creator LIVE Studio, next to Live Chat. It opens a how-it-works sheet — “One stream. Every Whistlr screen.” — without leaving the cockpit. This walkthrough covers what Learn teaches on every account, how it differs from the Business+ earning upsell, how to close or apply from the sheet, and the first-session order that pairs Learn with Credentials, Go Live, and optional monetization.
Where Learn Lives in the Cockpit
Creator LIVE Studio is one three-column cockpit under a single header. On the header right you will find the LIVE pill (while live), Visit Stream (when live and surfaced), Learn, the Live Chat toggle, and the account menu. Learn is available on personal and Business+ accounts alike — it is the distribution story, not a monetization gate. Opening it does not hide your preview the way full-width WTC or Earnings tabs do; you stay in the production frame while you read the sheet.
Personal accounts keep the wordmark, Learn, Live Chat, and the account menu even though they do not get the center tab strip (Stream, WTC, Help, Earnings, Analytics). Business+ unlocks that strip plus Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals, but Learn itself never waits on verification. Every signed-in creator can open Learn, understand where a Go Live lands, and stream free before deciding whether to apply for Business+.
Open and Close the Learn Sheet
Tap the purple Learn control in the header. The sheet title is “One stream. Every Whistlr screen.” Close it with the X, with Got it, or by choosing Apply for Business+ (which opens partners.whistlr.business in a new tab and closes the sheet). Got it simply dismisses the sheet so you can return to the preview. Use Learn when you need the distribution map; you do not need to leave Studio or open an external help site for these three ideas.
What Learn Teaches: Three Ideas
The same three ideas sit as a short feature list at the top of the sheet and as the body of the walkthrough. They are the product’s short version of distribution, Business+, and free streaming. Read them once on your first session; reopen anytime you need the reminder before you encode.
- 01 — Where your stream goes: One Go Live hits Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, and the iOS app. You do not configure each surface.
- 02 — How a business account works: Apply once at partners.whistlr.business. After verification, Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals unlock in Studio. Until then, monetization stays locked — streaming does not.
- 03 — Stream free. Earn when you are ready: You can stream 24/7 and grow an audience at no cost. Earning while you stream starts with a Business+ application.
You do not need Business+ to be found on Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, or iOS. You do need it to get paid.
Idea 01: One Stream, Every Whistlr Screen
Publishing on Whistlr Live Studio means going live across the network — not publishing a Gem in WTC, and not setting up a separate stream per feed. whistlr.studio is the studio product: preview, Stream Information, chat, and Go Live. whistlr.network is the social home where people already browse, follow, and watch. Studio starts the broadcast; the network is where the audience lives. You sign in with the same Whistlr ID. Viewers on web and in the Whistlr Network iOS app receive the same broadcast, chat, title, and category.
There is no per-surface toggle, no “post to Discover” checkbox, and no extra encoder target. If the studio shows LIVE and Visit Stream is available, the broadcast is already in the live feeds. Title (required, up to 100 characters) and category are the only distribution copy you write in Stream Information before you confirm Go Live. Those two fields are how a stranger in Discover or Highlights understands the room before they tap in.
Idea 02: How a Business Account Works
Streaming is free. Monetization is a separate step. Apply once at partners.whistlr.business. After verification, Studio unlocks Gems, the live Gem feed, WTC (Whistlr Traffic Coins) for publishing Gem templates, Earnings, Analytics, live earnings, and withdrawals. Until then, monetization chrome stays locked — Credentials, preview, Stream Information, Go Live, Live Chat, Viewers, Learn, and End Stream still work. Personal accounts land on Credentials plus a Business+ upsell under the preview: “Start earning revenue while you stream.”
Learn vs “See How It Works” Upsell
Learn is the distribution story on every account. The Stream-tab upsell’s “See how it works” is a different sheet focused on earning: Gems, instant payouts, and withdraw in 1–2 days. Hide/Show can collapse the upsell body on a personal account; See how it works opens the earning sheet. Do not confuse the two. Use Learn for “where does my Go Live go?” Use the upsell sheet when you are deciding whether to monetize. Apply for Business+ from Learn or from the account menu; both paths point at partners.whistlr.business.

Idea 03: Stream Free, Earn When Ready
You can stream 24/7 and grow an audience for free. There is no subscription to stay live, no follower minimum to appear in the feeds, and no wait before the next session. Whistlr Live Studio is built for always-on rooms and for Thursday-night hosts — both press the same Go Live. Earning is optional: viewers can send Gems only after you are verified Business+ and you publish Gems in WTC. Distribution does not wait on monetization. Grow the circle first if you want; apply when you are ready to get paid.
What “free” covers: starting a stream from Studio with no subscription; staying live as long as you want, including overnight; landing in Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, and iOS; and going live on day one with no follower gate. What free does not unlock: Gem rail, WTC store publishing, Earnings, Analytics, or withdrawals — those wait on Business+ verification. Streaming itself never waits on that application.
First-Session Order Learn Recommends
Open Learn once so you understand distribution. Paste Credentials (Server URL and Stream Key) into your encoder as a Custom RTMP service. Start Streaming in the encoder and wait for the Studio preview to attach. Go Live with a real title and category in Stream Information. Then apply for Business+ if you want the Gem rail to start filling this stream instead of the next one. Stay on Stream with Live Chat open while you produce. Visit WTC only when you are ready to publish Gem templates after verification.

After you dismiss Learn, production stays on Stream: preview hero, StudioStreamMeta (title, identity, status, End Stream while live), Credentials or Dashboard chips on Business+, left rail (Viewers for everyone; Gems / Viewers on Business+), and right-rail Live Chat. Visit Stream appears only when you are live and surfaced. Full-width Help, WTC, Earnings, and Analytics are Business+ pages that hide the rails — return to Stream (or open Live Chat) when you need the cockpit again. Learn remains one tap away in the header whenever you need the distribution reminder.
Learn is the in-product map of Whistlr Live Studio’s publishing promise: one studio, one Go Live, every Whistlr screen — and monetization only when you choose it. Use it on day one, after a long break, or when someone asks whether they need Business+ just to be found. They do not. They need a title, a category, a healthy preview, and Go Live. Learn says that in three short ideas without leaving the cockpit.
