Create a Whistlr ID for Live Studio: Signup and Age Verification
Whistlr Live Studio is free to use. There is no subscription and no follower minimum. Create a Whistlr ID, open Creator Live Studio, and you can go live in minutes—even if nobody follows you yet. This guide covers what you need before signup, the full Create account flow including age verification, how email codes work, how to resume a half-finished ID, and which paths to use for signup, login, and the live desk. Streaming unlocks the moment the ID exists; monetization is a separate, optional track.
What a Whistlr ID Is For
A Whistlr ID is the account you use to stream, chat, and later cash out Gems. The product lives at whistlr.studio. The social network that carries your broadcast is whistlr.network. Both are built by ETAProjects Inc. (ETAPX). Sign up at /signup. If you already have an ID, sign in at /login. After a finished signup you land in Creator Live Studio—you do not need a separate streamer application just to broadcast. Studio is browser-based; you open the desk first, then point OBS or another RTMP app at Studio after you have credentials.
Free to stream, paid when you earn—there is no follower gate and no monthly Studio fee. Go live first; apply for Business+ when the room is ready to cash out.
What You Need Before You Start
Whistlr is an adult network. Age verification is part of signup, not an optional later step. You must be 18 or older; accounts under 18 are blocked. Bring a working email you can open right now—Studio sends a 6-digit verification code to that address. Use any modern desktop browser. Passwords need at least 6 characters, one capital letter, and one special character. Studio shows a strength meter while you set the password; keep going until the rules are met.
- Age: You must be 18 or older. Birthdate is collected on the Age verification step as MM/DD/YYYY.
- Email: A working address you can open during signup for the 6-digit verification code (check spam if it does not arrive).
- Browser: Any modern desktop browser—Studio runs in the browser; the encoder is separate and comes after credentials.
- Password: At least 6 characters, one capital letter, and one special character.
- No streamer application: Finished signup drops you into Creator Live Studio. You do not apply just to broadcast.
Create the Account Step by Step
Open /signup and choose Create account. On “Sign up to Whistlr,” enter your full name and email. On “Secure your account,” set a password that meets the capital-letter and special-character rules—watch the strength meter until it clears. On “Age verification,” enter your birthdate as MM/DD/YYYY; under-18 birthdates are blocked. On “Review our policies,” confirm you are 18+ and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then tap Create Account. If Studio asks you to verify email, enter the 6-digit code sent to your inbox—you can paste the whole code in one shot. Then you drop straight into Creator Live Studio.
Did not finish signup? Use /resume-signup (“Finish Sign Up”) to pick up a half-finished Whistlr ID. Already have one? Sign in at /login—that path is how you return to manage your stream key, go live, and later track Gems and earnings. Signup also links “Create Business Account” in the corner; you can ignore it until you are ready to get paid. Apply for Monetization is on the marketing header at whistlr.studio if you would rather start Business+ from the public site. Streaming itself never waits on that application.

Age Verification Is Required, Not Optional
Age verification sits in the signup sequence between securing your password and reviewing policies. Enter MM/DD/YYYY carefully. Accounts under 18 are blocked at this step—Whistlr does not offer a teen or underage Studio path. Confirming you are 18+ again on the policies screen is part of accepting Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you leave mid-flow after age verification but before email confirmation, return through /resume-signup rather than starting a duplicate ID with the same email.
Email Verification Codes
Studio sends a 6-digit verification code to the email you entered. Open that inbox before you start if you can. Check spam and promotions folders if the message is slow. You can paste the entire code in one shot—you do not have to type digit by digit. After a successful code, Creator Live Studio opens. If the code expires or you never received it, use the resume path or request a fresh code from the verification screen rather than creating a second account.
Streaming is unlocked the moment the ID exists. Monetization is a separate, optional track. If you want viewers to send Gems while you are live—and you want those Gems to become cash—apply for a verified Business+ account at partners.whistlr.business, finish payment setup in Whistlr Go, and publish Gems on the WTC tab. Until then you can still stream for free. There is no follower gate and no monthly Studio fee. You can build an audience on Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, and the iOS app for $0. Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals stay locked until Business+ is verified. That is by design: go live first, apply when the room is worth cashing out.
Age verification is part of signup, not a later unlock. You must be 18 or older to create a Whistlr ID and open Creator Live Studio.
After the ID Exists
Your next job is first launch: open /creator-studio, wait for Studio Credentials (Server URL and Stream Key), paste them into a Custom RTMP encoder, confirm the private preview, then set Title and Category and confirm Go Live. That publish step is what puts the room on whistlr.network and the iOS app—starting the encoder alone is not enough. Keep Business+ for a later session unless you already know you need Gems on day one. The Create account flow only needs to get you a verified, adult Whistlr ID; everything about OBS, preview, and Stream Information lives in the first-launch and go-live guides.

Troubleshooting Signup
Password rejected: add a capital letter and a special character, and keep length at 6 or more. Age step blocks you: you must be 18 or older—there is no workaround. No email code: check spam, wait briefly, then resend or use /resume-signup. Landed on /studio instead of the desk: that page is the public tour; sign in at /login and open /creator-studio after auth. Accidentally started Business Account from the signup corner: you can ignore it and keep a personal ID for free streaming until you are ready to apply at partners.whistlr.business.
When signup is complete, you are ready for first launch credentials and the setup checklist. Create the free Whistlr ID once, verify age and email, then treat login as your return path for stream keys, Go Live, Gems, and earnings. Official Studio documentation restates the same truth: streaming is free, 18+, and unlocked without a follower gate—monetization waits on Business+ verification when you choose to earn.
