Pinning a Post to the Top of Your Profile

Pinning a Post to the Top of Your Profile
How to pin up to three posts to the top of your profile, reorder them, and pick good candidates for pinning
A pinned post is the first thing anyone sees when they land on your profile, before they scroll through anything else you've shared. Whether you want to highlight your best work, an important announcement, or the post that best introduces who you are, pinning puts it front and center for every visitor.
How to Pin a Post Open any post you've shared on your own profile and tap the options menu, usually represented by three dots in the corner of the post. Select Pin to Profile from the list of options. The post will then move to a dedicated pinned section at the top of your profile grid, appearing before your regular chronological posts.
Pinning doesn't change anything about the post's audience setting or how it shows up in places like Discover, hashtag pages, or someone's Flow. It only affects where the post appears on your own profile. A pinned post that's set to In Circle Only, for example, will still only be visible at the top of your profile to people who are in your In Circle.
How Many Posts You Can Pin You can pin up to three posts at a time. When you pin a fourth post, you'll be prompted to choose which of your existing pinned posts to replace, since the pinned section always shows your most recently pinned items first. Pinned posts can come from Chattr, Imprints, or Minis, and you're free to mix content types in the same pinned section.
The order of your pinned posts is based on when you pinned them, with the most recently pinned post appearing first. If you want to reorder them, unpin the post you want to move and pin it again, which places it back at the front of the pinned section.
A profile's pinned section is a first impression you actually get to choose, rather than whatever happened to be posted most recently.
Unpinning a Post To remove a post from the pinned section, open it and tap the options menu again, then select Unpin from Profile. The post returns to its normal place in your profile grid based on when it was originally posted, and the rest of your pinned posts shift up to fill the open spot.
Good candidates for pinning include an introduction post for new visitors, your most popular or proudest piece of content, an active announcement like an event or a Business account promotion, or a post that links to other places you're active, such as a Pod you run or a recent collaboration. Because visitors see pinned posts before anything else, they work well as a quick, current snapshot of what matters most to you right now.
