Whistlr Live Studio Documentation

Whistlr Live Studio is free to use. There is no subscription and no follower minimum. Create a Whistlr ID, open Studio, and you can go live in minutes — even if nobody follows you yet. The product lives at whistlr.studio. The social network that carries your broadcast is whistlr.network. Both are built by ETAProjects Inc. (ETAPX).

A Whistlr ID is the account you use to stream, chat, and later cash out Gems. Sign up at /signup. If you already have an ID, sign in at /login. After a finished signup you land in Creator Live Studio — you do not need a separate “streamer application” just to broadcast.

What you need before you start

• You must be 18 or older. Whistlr is an adult network — age verification is part of signup, not an optional later step.
• A working email you can open right now. Studio sends a 6-digit verification code to that address.
• Any modern desktop browser. Studio is browser-based; you do not install a separate encoder just to open the desk. You will point OBS (or another RTMP app) at Studio after you have credentials.
• A password with at least 6 characters, one capital letter, and one special character.

Create the account

1. Open /signup and tap Create account. The first screen is “Sign up to Whistlr” — enter your full name and email.
2. On “Secure your account,” set a password. Studio shows a strength meter; keep going until the password meets the capital-letter and special-character rules.
3. On “Age verification,” enter your birthdate as MM/DD/YYYY. Accounts under 18 are blocked.
4. On “Review our policies,” confirm you are 18+ and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Tap Create Account.
5. If Studio asks you to verify email, enter the 6-digit code sent to your inbox (check spam). You can paste the whole code in one shot. Then you drop straight into Creator Live Studio.

Streaming itself is unlocked the moment the ID exists. Monetization is a separate, optional track. If you want viewers to send Gems while you are live — and you want those Gems to become cash — apply for a verified Business+ account at partners.whistlr.business. Signup also links “Create Business Account” in the corner; you can ignore it until you are ready to get paid. Apply for Monetization is on the marketing header at whistlr.studio if you would rather start from the public site.

Creator Live Studio is the browser desk at /creator-studio. The first time it opens, you will see “Setting up your studio…” while it loads your RTMP Server URL and Stream Key. That pair is your Studio Credentials — the same ingest values the iOS / app path uses. You paste them once into any RTMP encoder and Studio starts showing a preview the moment the encoder publishes.

If credentials fail to load, tap Try Again. When they land, open the Credentials chip under the preview (next to Dashboard). You should see Server URL, Stream Key, Copy, Show / Hide, Reset Stream Key, and a four-step Quick setup card. Treat the Stream Key as a secret. Copy it into your encoder; do not paste it into chat, a ticket, or a screenshot. If it ever leaks, tap Reset Stream Key and paste the new value into your streaming software. The old key stops working as soon as the reset finishes.

What you see on first open

1. Copy the Server URL.
2. Show the Stream Key, copy it, then Hide it again.
3. In your encoder, set the stream service to Custom (sometimes labeled Custom RTMP).
4. Paste Server URL into the server field and Stream Key into the key field.
5. Hit Start Streaming in the encoder. Come back to Studio and wait for the preview — “We found your stream. Just setting up the preview for you.”

Non-business accounts can still stream. You will see a Business+ prompt under Credentials (“Start earning revenue while you stream”) with a short “See how it works” sheet. Streaming stays unlocked. Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals stay locked until partners.whistlr.business verifies you. Use Learn anytime you want the short version of that split.

Going live is two distinct actions. First the encoder publishes into Studio so you can see yourself. Then you tap Go Live, fill Stream Information, and confirm. Until you confirm, viewers on whistlr.network and the iOS app cannot join — the preview is only for you. That is how you check framing, audio, and the title before the room opens.

Stream Information

Go Live opens a Stream Information sheet. Title is required (up to 100 characters) — the confirm button stays disabled until you type one. Category is a searchable list; if you skip it, Studio uses Just Chatting. Pick the category that matches what is actually on camera. Discovery on Flow, Highlights, Following, and Discover uses that label, and your profile card shows it next to the viewer count.

1. Confirm the Studio preview is receiving — you should see your encoder output, not just “Ready when you are.”
2. Tap Go Live. Enter a title people can scan in a feed (“Late lo-fi set,” not “test”).
3. Choose a category. Search if you do not want to scroll.
4. Tap Go Live again on the sheet. Studio starts the session and the same broadcast lands on Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, and the iOS app. You do not configure each surface.

While you are live the meta line under your name shows viewer count, watch time, and category. Tap End stream when you are done — Studio warns that viewers lose the live and cannot rejoin until you go live again. Confirm only when you mean it. You can stream around the clock; there is no session cap and no follower minimum to stay on.

Goal: a cold Whistlr ID to a public live on whistlr.network in one sitting. You need the ID, an RTMP encoder, and a title. Everything else — Business+, Gems, custom Gem names — can wait until the second session.

1. Connect

Create the Whistlr ID at /signup (or sign in at /login). Open Creator Live Studio. Copy Studio Credentials. In OBS, Streamlabs, XSplit, Wirecast, or vMix, set the service to Custom and paste both values. Start the encoder, then wait until the Studio preview is receiving. That is the Connect step from the in-studio guide.

2. Stream

Do not skip the preview. If you tap Go Live before the encoder is publishing, viewers can land on a dark room. Watch for “Almost there…” then a live picture. Set Title and Category in Stream Information. Keep the title under 100 characters and specific enough that someone scrolling Flow knows what they are joining.

3. Go Live everywhere

Confirm Go Live. One action distributes the same broadcast platform-wide: Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, and the iOS app. Chat, viewer count, and (if Business+ is verified) the Gems rail all attach to that session. You are not running six destinations — you are running one Studio session the network already knows how to surface.

1. Whistlr ID created and verified.
2. Studio Credentials pasted into a Custom RTMP service.
3. Encoder started; Studio preview receiving.
4. Title + Category set; Go Live confirmed.
5. Optional next session: apply for Business+ at partners.whistlr.business, finish payment setup in Whistlr Go, publish Gems on the WTC tab.

Use this as the preflight before you tell anyone you are live. Required rows get you on whistlr.network. Optional rows unlock Gems and withdrawals. Streaming never waits on the optional column.

A verified Business+ account unlocks Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals inside Studio. Viewers send Gems while you are live. You keep the revenue. Cash out whenever you want — funds typically arrive in 1–2 business days, with no 30-day hold and no net-30 delay. Until that account is verified, keep streaming. The Learn button and the Business+ “See how it works” sheet are the in-product versions of this split.

Creator LIVE Studio is one three-column cockpit — not a separate encoder page, chat room, and earnings dashboard. Sign in, open Studio, and you get a locked viewport under a single header. The video preview is the hero. Rails and tab pages hang off that preview so you can go live, read chat, and watch Gems without leaving the session.

The header never scrolls away. The three columns fill the remaining viewport so preview, Gems, and chat stay in view. Below desktop width, both rails start closed and open as overlays — tap the dimmed backdrop to dismiss them. Opening the left rail from a full-width tab jumps you back to Stream (or Viewers on a personal account). Opening Live Chat from a full-width tab jumps you back to Stream so the room has a column to sit in.

Personal vs Business+

Every signed-in creator can stream. Monetization chrome is what changes. Personal accounts keep the wordmark, Learn, Live Chat, and the account menu, but they do not get the center tab strip. The left rail is Viewers only — no Gem feed. Under the preview you land on encoder credentials plus a Business+ upsell: “Start earning revenue while you stream.” Business+ unlocks the full tab strip, the Gems / Viewers toggle, Dashboard and Credentials chips, live earnings, and withdrawals. Apply once at partners.whistlr.business; streaming itself never waits on that application.

Center tabs are a Business+ surface. Personal accounts skip this strip and stay on the stream cockpit. When you are verified, the header splits broadcast tools from money tools: Stream, WTC, and Help left of a thin divider; Earnings and Analytics on the right.

WTC, Help, Earnings, and Analytics are full-width pages. The gem rail and live-chat rail collapse so the tab owns the canvas. On Help and Analytics while you are live, the preview shrinks to a floating mini player in the top-right. On WTC and Earnings the preview hides completely — those pages are store and ledger, not encoder. Come back to Stream (or hit the sidebar / Live Chat toggles) when you need the cockpit again.

• Stream is the default after sign-in, and the tab Studio forces if a personal account leaves it.
• WTC is where you publish the Gems viewers buy while you are live. Unpublished templates stay drafts.
• Help is the in-product manual for encoder paste-in, going live everywhere, and how Gems pay out.
• Earnings and Analytics read the same live ledger — gems received this session update both views as they land.

The center video is the hero. Offline, you see a dark gradient overlay, a status line, and a white Go Live button. Typical idle copy is “Ready when you are” — start your encoder and Studio picks the feed up. When the encoder is publishing, the overlay drops and the preview shows the live picture. If the encoder stops, the preview says the stream ended and will reconnect when you start again.

Go Live and End Stream

Go Live does not start the encoder. Your streaming app (OBS, Streamlabs, XSplit, Wirecast, vMix, or any custom RTMP encoder) publishes first. Then you open Stream Information — title (required, 100 characters) and category — and confirm Go Live. That is the moment the broadcast is surfaced across Whistlr. End Stream sits on the meta bar while you are live; confirming it takes you offline immediately. Escape or Cancel backs out. Visit Stream appears in the header only after you are live and surfaced — it opens the public watch page so you can see what viewers see.

Left rail — Gems and Viewers

The left rail is session activity. Business+ accounts get a Gems / Viewers segmented control. Gems is a live feed of support: sender, amount, optional message, time, and a quick 👍 ❤️ 🔥 reaction. Empty state is “Waiting for Gems.” Viewers lists people who have chatted this session, with a watching count and “N in chat.” Personal accounts only see Viewers. Collapse the rail from the header sidebar toggle or the mobile close control. It hides automatically on WTC, Help, Earnings, and Analytics.

Right rail — Live Chat

The right rail is the room. Messages, gem notices, and emoji land here in real time. Reply from the composer while you are live. Toggle it from the header Live Chat control (the right-pane icon). Same hide rule as the left rail on full-width tabs. On smaller screens it overlays the preview; close it from the rail or the header toggle.

Directly under the preview sits StudioStreamMeta — the identity and control strip for the current broadcast. It is the caption bar for the hero: who you are, what this stream is called, whether you are live, and which Stream subview is open. Business+ accounts on Stream also get Dashboard and Credentials chips that swap the body below. Personal accounts skip the chips and stay on Credentials plus the Business+ upsell so they can still paste an encoder and go live.

Dashboard

Dashboard is the live session readout. It opens as Analytics with revenue this stream (USD), how many Gems landed, and three health blocks: Broadcast (Creator Studio + your handle and category), Ingest (whether the encoder is publishing), and Preview (Receiving vs Waiting). Use it to confirm the picture is reaching Whistlr before you talk to the room. If chat is closed, Dashboard can offer an Open chat action that reveals the right rail.

Chat

Chat is a first-class Stream surface, but it lives in the right rail rather than replacing the Dashboard body. Keep it open while you produce. Gift and emoji events sit next to regular messages so you can thank a sender without hunting the left rail. The Viewers list is built from the same room — people who have spoken appear there with a chat count. Opening Live Chat from Help, Earnings, or Analytics brings you back to Stream so the rail has a column to occupy.

Credentials

Credentials is how the encoder talks to Studio. Copy the Server URL and Stream Key into a custom RTMP service, start streaming in your app, then come back here to Go Live. Reveal or hide the key, copy either value, or reset the key if it has leaked — after a reset you must paste the new key into the encoder. Quick setup is the four-step paste-in: open the encoder, choose Custom RTMP, paste URL + key, start streaming, then Go Live in Studio.

1. Open Credentials (Business+ chip, or the default body on a personal account).
2. Copy Server URL and Stream Key into your encoder as a custom service.
3. Hit Start Streaming in the encoder. Watch the preview attach.
4. Set title and category in Stream Information, then Go Live.
5. Switch to Dashboard to confirm ingest + preview, and keep Live Chat open.

Learn is the purple header button on the right, next to Live Chat. It opens a how-it-works sheet — “One stream. Every Whistlr screen.” — without leaving the cockpit. Close it with the X, Got it, or by applying for Business+.

The same three ideas sit as a short feature list at the top of the sheet. Apply for Business+ opens partners.whistlr.business in a new tab and closes the sheet. Got it just dismisses it so you can return to the preview. Learn is on every account — it is the distribution story. The Stream-tab upsell’s “See how it works” is the earning sheet (Gems, instant payouts, withdraw in 1–2 days). You do not need Business+ to be found on Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, or iOS. You do need it to get paid — viewers cannot send Gems, and you cannot open WTC, Earnings, or Analytics, until the application is approved.

Every Whistlr Live Studio session starts with a Whistlr account. The same identity follows you across Studio, whistlr.network, and the iOS app. Your account type decides the public badge, whether you can run ads on Whistlr+, and whether Studio shows monetization tools. It does not decide whether you can go live.

Streaming is free. There is no follower minimum and no subscription to broadcast. One Go Live lands in Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, and the iOS app. Earning from that audience is a separate step: Business+, the monetization program. Apply once at partners.whistlr.business. Until you are verified, Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals stay locked — streaming does not.

The four account types

Whistlr uses four account types. Personal is the default. Creator is for verified content creators. Business is for brands that advertise and grow on the network. Alpha is special access for testers. Business+ is not a fifth type — it is the program that unlocks payouts in Studio after you apply.

The fastest way to understand accounts is to open Studio and look at the chrome. A Personal studio is a broadcast desk. A Business studio is a broadcast desk plus a register. Same Go Live. Different money tools.

What a Personal studio shows

Personal accounts connect an encoder, set a title and category, and go live. There is no verification badge. Personal accounts cannot run ads on Whistlr+. Studio does not show monetization tabs. The left rail stays on viewers, not Gems. The center of Stream stays on studio credentials.

Instead of earnings tools, Personal studios show a Business+ upsell: “Start earning revenue while you stream.” Open it and Studio explains the path — apply, publish Gems, earn mid-stream, cash out. The account menu labels the same destination Apply for Business+. Streaming stays fully available while that offer sits on the page.

• Go live, chat, and grow an audience at no cost.
• No ads on Whistlr+, no verification badge, no WTC / Earnings / Analytics tabs.
• No Gems rail and no withdrawal controls.
• Business+ card in Stream: Start earning revenue while you stream.

What a Business studio shows

Business accounts are for companies and brands that advertise and grow on Whistlr. They carry a Verified Business badge (purple). They can run ads on Whistlr+. In Live Studio they see the monetization chrome Personal accounts do not: Stream, WTC, Help, Earnings, and Analytics, plus the live Gems rail while you are on air.

• Stream — preview, credentials, title, category, and Go Live.
• WTC — publish Gems ($0.50–$500) into your store.
• Earnings — session totals and withdrawals.
• Analytics — what the room did this session.
• Gems rail — every send as it happens mid-stream.

Creator and Alpha in the same studio

Creator accounts are for verified content creators who want to run ads. After verification they can advertise on Whistlr+ and may show a Verified Creator (green) or CreatorBoost (orange) badge. Alpha accounts are special-access testers; they always may run ads and show an Alpha (amber) badge. Neither type automatically opens Studio payouts. Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals still wait on Business+ verification.

Business+ is how creators get paid on Whistlr. It is the monetization program — not a second login and not a different Go Live button. Apply once at partners.whistlr.business. After you are verified, Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals unlock in Studio. Until then, monetization stays locked. Streaming does not.

The public call to action is APPLY FOR MONETIZATION. In Studio the same action reads Apply for Business+. On signup it reads Create Business Account. Every one of those links opens partners.whistlr.business. Apply there. Do not look for a hidden apply form inside Stream, WTC, or Earnings — those surfaces unlock after verification, they do not start it.

How to apply

1. Open https://partners.whistlr.business from Studio (Apply for Business+), from the marketing bar (APPLY FOR MONETIZATION), or directly.
2. Submit the Business+ application once. Use the Whistlr account you stream with so verification can attach to the same identity.
3. Set up payouts in Whistlr Go so withdrawals have a destination when Gems start landing.
4. Return to Live Studio after you are verified. WTC, Earnings, Analytics, and the Gems rail replace the Personal upsell.

What you prepare while you wait

Application and payout setup are separate. Applying tells Whistlr you want to earn. Setting up payouts in Whistlr Go tells Studio where to send money after Gems clear. You can finish payouts before verification so the first send is not waiting on banking details. You cannot withdraw to your bank until both are done: Business+ verified, and payouts set up in Whistlr Go.

• Keep going live. The room does not pause for review.
• Set up payouts in Whistlr Go before you publish your first Gem.
• Do not expect WTC or withdrawals on a Personal studio — those controls stay hidden until verification.
• When Studio swaps the upsell for WTC and Earnings, you are ready to price Gems and cash out.

A Whistlr verification badge sits next to the display name on profiles, in chat, and anywhere the network renders your identity. It is a public mark of account type and verification. It is not a payout confirmation. Personal accounts never show a badge.

When a badge appears

Personal accounts never display a badge. Creator accounts show Verified Creator or CreatorBoost only after they are verified. Business accounts show Verified Business. Alpha accounts show Alpha. CreatorBoost can appear on a verified non-personal account; it does not convert a Personal studio into a Business studio.

• Badge present, monetization still locked — you can be verified for identity or ads and still need Business+ for Gems.
• No badge on a Personal account — expected. Personal is built to connect and stream, not to wear a seal.
• A green or orange creator badge unlocks ads eligibility, not withdrawals.

After Business+ verification, Studio stops selling the idea of getting paid and starts taking money. Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals unlock in the same cockpit you already use to go live. Viewers send support while you are on air. You keep the revenue. You withdraw to your bank when you want.

The in-studio earn path

The Earn sheet in Studio is the contract, in four beats. Nothing in that sheet asks you to wait a billing cycle or to hit a follower gate.

1. Apply for Business+ — monetization stays locked until you are verified. Apply once at partners.whistlr.business.
2. Publish Gems — open WTC, pick a template, rename it (Hype Train, Super Chat, or whatever fits the room), and set a price from $0.50 to $500. Publish and it hits your store immediately.
3. Earn mid-stream — viewers send Gems in real time. You keep the revenue. Custom branding, flexible pricing, and a live feed so you see every send as it happens.
4. Cash out — payments land in your dashboard the moment they clear. No holding period. No net-30. Withdraw to your bank whenever you want. Funds typically arrive in 1–2 business days.

What opens in Studio after verification

• WTC — create, price, and publish Gems from $0.50 to $500.
• Live Gems rail — mid-stream sends, visible while you are on air.
• Earnings — session ledger and cash-out after you set up payouts in Whistlr Go.
• Analytics — supporters, volume, and session performance next to the broadcast.

Who can run ads on Whistlr+

Ads are a Whistlr+ capability on the network, not a dashboard inside Live Studio. Studio does not contain campaign builders, budgets, or ad reports. Eligibility is by account type: Personal never; Creator after verification; Business always; Alpha always. If you are eligible, you run ads on Whistlr+, not in the Live Studio tab strip.

Getting verified as a Creator unlocks ads. Getting verified for Business+ unlocks Gems and withdrawals. Those are not the same form and they do not replace each other.

What stays locked — and what never was

Until Business+ verification lands, Studio will not show WTC publishing, the live Gems rail, earnings, or withdrawals. You also cannot publish Gems until payouts are set up in Whistlr Go. That is the full lock. It does not include the encoder, the stream key, chat, viewers, title, category, or Go Live. Those stay on for every signed-in account, including Personal.

Whistlr Traffic Coins (WTC) are how Whistlr Live Studio turns a live room into a store. Viewers buy support while you are live. Gems are the purchasable items in that store — named, priced, and published by you. In Studio the tab is labeled WTC, not “gems,” so look for those three letters in the center tab strip.

WTC is the native currency of the stream. A Gem is a product on that currency: a coin viewers tap, a title they recognize, and a price they pay. You do not mint coins by hand — you publish Gems. When a viewer buys one during your stream, the money is yours. It lands in your payouts dashboard with no holding period and no net-30 wait. Withdraw whenever you want; funds typically arrive at your bank in 1–2 business days.

Business+ is the gate — streaming is not

Anyone signed in can go live. The WTC tab is a Business+ surface. Streaming without Business+ does not unlock the store, Earnings, or withdrawals. Apply once at partners.whistlr.business. After you are verified, Gems, live earnings, and cash-out appear in Creator Live Studio. The WTC, Help, Earnings, and Analytics tabs stay hidden until then.

Three traits of a published Gem

How viewers pay you

Viewers do not tip a blank box. They open your live store and buy a Gem you published. They can send more than one at a time and attach an optional message. You see each send in Recent Gifts (sender name, quantity, message if they wrote one, amount paid) and in Earnings as Total WTC Revenue — labeled “From gem purchases.” Viewers can buy only while you are live. You can customize and publish any time the WTC tab is open; a publish is live in the store the moment it succeeds.

Open Creator Live Studio and click WTC. The page title is Whistlr Traffic Coins (WTC). Under it: customize, publish, and earn instant payouts with zero friction. Below that sit Custom Branding, Flexible Pricing, Instant Payouts, and a grid of templates. You do not invent SKUs from a blank form. Studio gives you a fixed set of visual templates — each one a coin (or icon), a starter title, and a starter price. Click a template, rename it, set the price, and publish. The coin is the product art viewers see; the name and price are yours.

What each card shows

• Coin / icon — large rotating gem art. This is what viewers see in the store.
• Title — the current Gem name. Drafts keep the starter title until you rename them.
• Price — USD with cents, for example $5.00.
• Status — Published (green dot) or Draft (muted dot).

Click anywhere on a card to open it. Drafts open Customize Gem. Published cards open Edit Gem. You can also hit Customize & Publish on a draft, or Edit / Unpublish on a published card, without opening the modal first.

1. Confirm you are on a Business+ account — otherwise WTC is not in the strip.
2. Click WTC in the center tabs. The stream canvas hides so the store grid can fill the page.
3. Wait for templates to load. First open seeds drafts if you have never published here.
4. Scan the grid: coin, title, price, Published or Draft. Decide which template becomes which offer.

Click a Draft card or its Customize & Publish button. The Customize Gem modal opens on top of Studio. The preview is labeled “Viewers will see this Gem” — that coin is what lands in the live store. You change the name and the price, not the art.

Gem Name

The field is prefilled with the template title. Keep it, or type a name your chat already says out loud. Helper copy: “Choose a custom name or keep the default.” Product placeholders: “Tip Me” or “Support Stream.” Official walkthroughs also use Hype Train and Super Chat. A name is required — an empty field blocks publish with “Please enter a Gem name.” You can rename again later from Edit.

Price (USD)

Price is a dollar amount with a $ prefix. Minimum $0.50. Maximum $500.00. Helper copy: “Min: $0.50 | Max: $500.00.” Values outside that range block save with “Price must be between $0.50 and $500.00.”

You do not need six different prices on day one. Publish two or three well-named tiles, watch which one Earnings calls Top Gem, then retune. The same template can move from $1.00 to $8.00 after you see how the room spends. Cancel closes without writing. On a draft the primary button is Publish Gem; while it runs it reads Publishing…

Publishing is the step that puts a Gem in front of viewers. Customize is local until you press Publish Gem. The official path is the same three beats as Studio Help: open the WTC tab, customize a template, publish. The item appears in your store immediately.

1. In Whistlr Go, finish payment setup so payouts have a destination. Studio refuses to publish without it.
2. In Creator Live Studio, open WTC and click a Draft template.
3. Set Gem Name (for example Hype Train or Super Chat) and Price (USD) between $0.50 and $500.00.
4. Click Publish Gem. Wait for Publishing… to finish.
5. On success: “Gem published successfully! Viewers can now purchase it during your stream.”

The card flips from Draft to Published (green). Buttons switch from Customize & Publish to Edit and Unpublish. You do not need to be live for that flip — the catalog is ready. Viewers only see the store once the stream is up. If payments are missing, Studio says to set up payments in Whistlr Go before publishing gems. Empty name and out-of-range price use the validation lines above. After a generic failure, confirm payouts in Whistlr Go still look healthy, then republish the same card.

On stream, and where the money is counted

While you are live, published Gems are for sale. Business+ rooms also get a Live Gems rail from the stream chrome. Each purchase can include a quantity and an optional message. Instant payouts land in your payouts dashboard as they clear. The WTC page grows a Recent Gifts list: sender name, × quantity, optional message, amount paid. That feed is the current stream only — it resets when the session ends. Long-run totals live on Earnings: Total WTC Revenue (“From gem purchases”), Avg Stream Revenue, Total Supporters (unique gem senders), Top Gem, and Gem Performance. View All Earnings opens your payouts dashboard to withdraw.

A published Gem is not frozen. You can retitle it, change the price, or pull it from the store without deleting the template. The card keeps the same coin. Only name, price, and whether viewers can buy it change.

Edit name and price

1. On a Published card, click Edit (or the card). The modal title becomes Edit Gem.
2. Change Gem Name and/or Price (USD). The same $0.50–$500.00 limits apply.
3. Click Update Gem. The button reads Updating… while it saves.
4. On success: “Changes are now live.”

Edits apply immediately. Viewers who open the store after the save see the new name and price. You do not unpublish and republish just to retune a tier. If a $2.00 Hype Train is converting and a $50.00 tile is idle, drop the idle price or rename it to a moment your show actually has. You can Edit mid-stream — the update does not require ending the broadcast. Watch Gem Performance on Earnings after the next few sends.

Unpublish, then put it back

Unpublish takes the Gem out of the store without throwing away the slot. Click Unpublish. Studio asks you to confirm: viewers will no longer be able to purchase it. After confirm, the badge returns to Draft and the action becomes Customize & Publish again. Other published Gems stay on sale. Past purchases remain in Earnings and in your payouts dashboard — unpublish does not reverse money already paid.

An unpublished card is a draft with the last name and price you used. Open Customize & Publish, adjust if you want, and click Publish Gem again. You get the same success line as the first publish. Payment setup in Whistlr Go still has to be in place — unpublishing does not waive that check on the next publish.

Fans pay streamers on Whistlr by sending Gems while you are live. A Gem is a named, priced item from your store — not a tip jar and not a subscription. The viewer picks a Gem, chooses how many to send, optionally writes a message, and pays. That send becomes earnings in your business dashboard the moment it clears. There is no 30-day hold. Withdraw whenever you want; funds typically reach your bank in one to two business days.

This is the whole money path, in user language: the viewer watches, the viewer buys from your published Gem store, you see the send in Studio, and you cash out. Whistlr does not ask you to hit a follower count first. Once your Business+ account is verified and at least one Gem is published, anyone watching the stream can support you — including a first-time viewer who just found you.

The path from a fan to your bank

1. You apply for Business+ and get verified. Monetization stays locked until then; streaming does not.
2. You open the WTC tab in Studio, pick a template, rename it, set a price from $0.50 to $500, and publish. Published Gems hit your live store immediately.
3. You go live. The same broadcast lands on whistlr.network, the iOS app, Discover, Flow, Following, Highlights, and your creator profile.
4. A viewer opens your published Gem store during the session, chooses a Gem, sets a quantity, and can add a short message.
5. The send appears in the left-rail live Gem feed and in Recent Gifts. Revenue lands in your business dashboard — no holding period, no net-30.
6. You withdraw when you want. Bank arrival is typically one to two business days.

What has to be true before a fan can pay you

• Business+ is verified. Apply once at partners.whistlr.business. After verification, Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals unlock in Studio.
• At least one Gem is published. Drafts stay in your WTC tab; only published Gems appear in the viewer store.
• You are live. Viewers purchase from the store during the live session. The live Gem feed only lists sends from the current stream.
• No follower minimum. There is no follower gate to go live, and no follower minimum to receive Gems once the three points above are true.

If you can stream but cannot see Gems, you are almost always missing Business+ or a published Gem — not an audience size. Apply, publish, go live. Viewers who are already watching can pay you on that same stream.

Your live Gem store is the catalog viewers buy from while you stream. It is built from Whistlr Traffic Coins (WTC) — the native currency of support on Whistlr. You do not invent Gems from a blank form. Studio gives you renameable templates. You customize the name and the price, publish, and the item is in the store for anyone watching that session.

How to publish a Gem

1. Open the WTC tab in Creator Live Studio.
2. Click a template. Defaults ship as Obsidian ($1), Astra ($5), Quartz ($10), Onyx ($25), Nova ($50), and Diamond ($100).
3. Rename it to match your stream — “Hype Train”, “Super Chat”, “Tip Me”, “Support Stream”, or any name that sounds like you.
4. Set a price from $0.50 to $500.00.
5. Click Publish. The Gem is live in your store immediately. A green Published badge replaces Draft.

Each published Gem has two things the viewer actually sees: the name you chose and the price you set. The coin art travels with the template so the store still looks like a set of Gems, not a spreadsheet. You can edit a published Gem (name and price) or unpublish it if you want it off the store without deleting the template.

Flexible pricing and custom branding are the two traits the WTC tab is built around. Instant payouts is the third: once a viewer buys, the money is not waiting on a weekly batch or a 30-day clock. It is already on the path to your dashboard.

A viewer does not wire you money and they do not subscribe to unlock a paywall. They watch the live stream, open your published Gem store, and send. That is how fans pay streamers on Whistlr — one send at a time, during the session, from the store you published.

Where the viewer is watching

One Go Live is enough. The same broadcast is available on whistlr.network, in the iOS app, and across Discover, Flow, Following, Highlights, and your creator profile. The viewer does not need a special “paid stream” link. If they can watch you live on any of those surfaces, they can open the Gem store for that session.

What a send includes

• The Gem — whichever published item they picked, at the name and price you set.
• Quantity — they can send more than one of the same Gem in a single action. Recent Gifts shows the multiplier (× 3, × 10) next to their name.
• An optional message — a short note that travels with the send. If they leave it blank, the feed falls back to “Sent [Gem name].”
• The amount paid — quantity times the Gem price, shown in dollars on the feed and in earnings.

That is the entire viewer action. They are not filling out an invoice. They are not waiting for you to accept a request. They pick, they send, you see it. If they are a first-time watcher who found you on Discover or Highlights, the store still works — support is not gated on following you first.

Talk about the store the way you talk about the stream. Name the Gem you want in chat (“Hype Train is $5 if you just got here”), read messages out loud, and thank people by the name on the send. The product already puts the sender, the amount, the quantity, and the note in front of you so you can react in the moment — which is what makes the next viewer send.

The left rail in Studio is the live Gem feed. It exists so you see every send as it happens — without leaving the preview, without opening a separate ledger, and without waiting for a recap after you end the stream. When the rail is empty it says “Waiting for Gems” and “Support will appear here as it happens.” The first send replaces that empty state.

What each send shows

• Who sent it — the viewer’s name and avatar, next to yours, so the rail reads as a person-to-person thank-you, not a raw transaction.
• How much — the dollar amount of that send, highlighted so you can shout out the number without doing math.
• What they said — their optional message, or “Sent [Gem name]” if they skipped the note.
• When — a clock time for the send, useful when you are catching up after a busy minute.
• Quantity — Recent Gifts (on the WTC tab) repeats the same sends with a × quantity so stacked Gems are obvious.

You can react on the rail with 👍, ❤️, or 🔥. That reaction stays on the send so you can mark the ones you already acknowledged. Use it as a working checklist when several Gems land at once: react when you have said the name on stream, then move to the next unreacted row.

Two places, one stream of sends

• Left rail — Live Gems. Real-time activity for the current session. Toggle the rail closed if you need the preview wider; open it again from the Gems control. Business accounts get Gems and Viewers in that rail; everyone else sees Viewers only.
• WTC tab — Recent Gifts. The same session sends, listed with icon, sender, quantity, message, and amount. Useful when you step off camera and want the full stack without scanning the rail.

What Earnings adds after the send

The live feed answers “who just paid me?” Stream Earnings answers “how is this adding up?” Open the Earnings tab for the running picture of WTC Gem revenue — not a delayed statement, the same sends rolled into analytics you can read between streams.

Earnings also charts revenue over time, Gem performance by item, a transaction history of every sender and amount, average stream revenue, and how many published Gems are active. When you are ready to move money, withdraw from the business dashboard. Payments are already there — no holding period. Funds typically arrive in your bank in 1–2 business days.

Every Gem is a renameable template with a hard floor of $0.50 and a hard ceiling of $500. That range is wide on purpose. A healthy store is not six items at $500 and it is not six items at $0.50. It is a short ladder: something almost anyone can send, something that feels like a real thank-you, something that marks a hype moment, and something reserved for a big gesture.

Start from the templates Studio already gives you, then rename them so the store sounds like your stream. The default prices (Obsidian $1, Astra $5, Quartz $10, Onyx $25, Nova $50, Diamond $100) are a usable first ladder. You are not stuck with the mineral names — “Hype Train” at $5 converts better than “Astra” if that is the language your chat already uses.

How to set the ladder, not just a price

• Publish at least one entry Gem before the first stream. If the cheapest item is $25, most first-time viewers will not send anything.
• Keep one clear mid. If Astra and Quartz both exist, give them different jobs (a $5 “Tip Me” and a $10 “Super Chat”), not two names for the same thank-you.
• Name the hype Gem out loud. “Hype Train is live at $25” is a call to action. “Send Onyx” is a catalog SKU.
• Put a ceiling on the big thank-you that you are willing to celebrate. $100 is already a moment. $500 is the product maximum — use it if your community has asked for a top-end item, not because the slider goes there.
• Unpublish what never sells. A quiet store with four Gems beats a noisy store with six ignored ones. Drafts stay in WTC for later.

Let Earnings move the prices

After a few sessions, ignore the starter numbers and read three fields: Top Gem, average order, and peak earning times. If Top Gem is always the $1 entry item and average order sits near $1, your mid is either misnamed or too high — drop the mid toward $5 and talk about it. If Top Gem is already the $25 hype item, you can raise the entry Gem a little without starving the ladder. If revenue clusters in one hour, that is when you run the named hype Gem, not when the room is thin.

Top supporters tell you who is carrying the high end. Thank them on stream and keep a big thank-you published so they have somewhere to land. Do not build the whole store around them. The store has to work for a Discover viewer who has never followed you and has fifty cents of curiosity — that is what the $0.50 floor is for.

When a send lands, you already have what you need: the name, the amount, the quantity, the message, and a dashboard that takes the money without a 30-day hold. Price so that more people can take that path — then withdraw on your schedule, with the bank typically one to two business days behind the button.

Whistlr Live Studio pays creators when viewers send WTC Gems during a live stream. Open the Earnings tab to see Stream Earnings — WTC Gems & Live Revenue Analytics — a running picture of gem purchases, supporters, and the gems that convert. There is no follower minimum to stream, and cashing out does not wait on a 30-day hold.

How gem purchases become earnings

Whistlr Traffic Coins (WTC) are the studio currency. You customize gem templates, set a price from $0.50 to $500, and publish them to your live store. Viewers buy those gems while you are on air. You keep the revenue. Payments land in your business dashboard as they clear — customize, publish, and earn with zero friction.

1. Apply for Business+ and finish payouts in Whistlr Go. Publishing gems is blocked until payments are set up there.
2. Open the WTC tab, rename a template, set a price, and publish. Published gems appear in your store immediately.
3. Go live. Viewers send gems in real time. Recent gifts and Stream Earnings update as sends land.
4. Open Earnings to review totals, then View All Earnings for the full payouts experience in Whistlr Go.

What the Stream Earnings header shows

The Earnings tab opens with four headline cards. Amounts are dollar totals from gem purchases, not a separate coin balance.

Under the cards you get Revenue Over Time, Gem Performance, Top Supporters, and Gem Transaction History. Use View All Earnings in the header when you want the full payouts desk in Whistlr Go — withdrawals, available balance, and bank details live there, not as a second ledger inside Studio.

Payouts on Whistlr are direct revenue. Gem payments go straight to your business dashboard. There are no holding periods and no net-30 delays. Studio Help labels this Earnings & Payouts and splits the promise into three cards you should treat as product fact, not marketing extras.

Set up payouts in Whistlr Go before you publish

Publishing a gem requires payouts to be set up in Whistlr Go first. If you try to publish without that step, Studio stops you with “Please set up payments in Whistlr Go before publishing gems.” Finish the payouts desk there, then return to the WTC tab and publish. Until payouts exist, your store cannot take viewer money — even if Business+ is already verified.

1. Apply for Business+ at partners.whistlr.business and wait until monetization unlocks in Studio.
2. Open Whistlr Go and complete payouts so gem purchases have a place to land.
3. Back in Live Studio, publish at least one WTC Gem and go live.
4. Use View All Earnings on the Stream Earnings header — or Pay out on Analytics — to open the full payouts experience in Whistlr Go.

Where payouts live in Studio

• Earnings → View All Earnings. Opens the full payouts experience in Whistlr Go.
• Analytics → Payouts. “Pay out your available balance to your bank account,” with a Pay out control that uses the same Whistlr Go path.
• Help → Earnings. The Direct Revenue, Instant Withdrawals, and Full Analytics cards.
• Account menu → Earnings Withdrawal (Business+ only). Same payouts destination as View All Earnings.

Cash out whenever you want. Funds typically arrive in your bank account in 1–2 business days. There is no holding period, no net-30 delay, and no 30-day hold. Payments land in your dashboard the moment they clear; the bank transfer then takes one to two business days after you request it in Whistlr Go. Withdrawals are not gated by a follower minimum — the same rule that lets you go live for free.

How to withdraw stream earnings

1. Confirm Business+ is verified so Gems, earnings, and withdrawals are unlocked.
2. Open Earnings and check Total WTC Revenue and Gem Transaction History so the amount matches what viewers sent.
3. Click View All Earnings, or open Analytics and click Pay out, or choose Earnings Withdrawal in the account menu.
4. In Whistlr Go, withdraw available balance to your linked bank account. Funds typically arrive in 1–2 business days.

• No follower minimum to cash out — or to go live in the first place.
• No 30-day hold and no net-30. Revenue is not parked for a platform billing cycle.
• Withdraw on your schedule. There is no studio-imposed minimum stream count.
• Bank arrival is typically one to two business days after you request the withdrawal.

Taxes and your records

Creators are responsible for their own tax obligations. Keep Gem Transaction History and the Whistlr Go payouts desk as your record of what viewers paid and what you withdrew.

Full Analytics is built to track every dollar: average order value, top supporters, and peak earning times. Use the Earnings tab for the live gem ledger and the Analytics tab for in-depth performance and revenue insights. Both read the same gem purchases — Analytics just spreads them across more charts.

Stream Earnings charts

• Revenue Over Time. Bar chart of daily gem revenue with 7D, 30D, and All ranges. Empty state: “No revenue data yet.”
• Gem Performance. Each published gem with purchase count, dollar total, and a relative bar. Empty: “No gems sold yet” / “Publish gems to start earning.”
• Top Supporters. Ranked unique senders with avatar, name, rank, and lifetime total. Empty: “No supporters yet” / “Gem senders will appear here.”

Analytics tab: volume, conversion, and peaks

Analytics opens with Revenue Payments (daily gem dollars) and Gross Volume (your Total WTC Revenue, broken into WTC Gem Revenue, Average Stream, and Supporter Rate). When revenue exists, Gross Volume marks the total Live. An insight line calls out your highest revenue day from gem purchases — or tells you to start streaming and publishing gems if the chart is empty.

Revenue Trend (last 7 days) adds Peak Day, Avg Day, and Growth under the same chart family as Earnings. Peak Day is the highest daily gem total in the window — that is how Studio surfaces peak earning times next to average order value and top supporters. Use it to decide which days deserve a longer session or a featured gem.

Every paid gem is a record. Stream Earnings keeps Gem Transaction History as the studio ledger: sender, gem, dollar amount, and how long ago it landed. The counter in the header is the total number of those rows. This is the list to reconcile against withdrawals in Whistlr Go.

Gem Transaction History

• Sender name and avatar for the viewer who paid.
• The gem they sent — icon plus name.
• Amount paid, shown as dollars.
• Relative time (just now, minutes, hours, days) or a calendar date for older rows.

Until the first purchase, the panel stays honest: “No gem transactions yet” and “When viewers send you gems, every transaction will appear here.” That empty copy is the product telling you the ledger is complete, not filtered. After you publish and go live, new rows appear as sends clear — the same events that lift Total WTC Revenue, Total Supporters, and Gems Sent.

Live dashboard and the WTC gift feed

While you are on air, you do not have to sit on the Earnings tab to know money moved. The live dashboard lists Viewer Count (room presence) and Top Supporters (a leaderboard of gem senders). The WTC tab adds Recent Gifts — sender, quantity, optional message, and dollars — so a hype train is visible in the same place you publish gems.

• Live dashboard → Top Supporters. Who is spending right now, ranked.
• WTC → Recent Gifts. Each send as it happens, including quantity and message.
• Earnings → Gem Transaction History. The durable record after the session.
• Analytics → Top Supporters and Pay out. Same names, plus the path to the bank.

Help Center → Earnings repeats the three payout cards. Help Center → Live dashboard covers Viewer Count and the Top Supporters leaderboard. When you are ready to turn the ledger into cash, leave through View All Earnings or Pay out. Whistlr Go is where available balance becomes a bank deposit — typically in one to two business days, with no 30-day hold and no follower minimum.

Whistlr Live Studio is a free RTMP ingest studio. You do not stream from the browser camera. You point OBS, Streamlabs, XSplit, Wirecast, vMix, or any other RTMP-compatible encoder at a Server URL and Stream Key that Studio issues for your account. There is no follower minimum and no subscription to start.

Where to find Studio Credentials

1. Open Creator LIVE Studio while signed in.
2. Personal accounts land on Credentials automatically — Server URL and Stream Key are already on the page.
3. Business accounts: stay on the Stream tab, then tap the Credentials chip under your title (next to Dashboard).
4. You can also open Help in Studio and jump to Stream ingest. Same two values, same copy and reset actions.

The card is labeled Studio Credentials. A Ready pill means your key is issued. Unavailable means Studio is still setting up — wait a moment, or tap Try Again on the preview if you see Studio unavailable.

1. Copy the Server URL. It is safe to store in your encoder profile.
2. On Stream Key, tap Show only when you are about to paste. Tap Hide when you are done.
3. Copy the Stream Key and paste it into the encoder’s stream-key field — never into chat, a title, or a screenshot.
4. If the key may have been shared, or you just want a fresh pair, tap Reset Stream Key.

Whistlr is compatible with every major streaming app that speaks RTMP. Studio does not ship a branded encoder plugin. You use a Custom service and paste the two credentials from above.

Quick setup (the product steps)

1. Open your streaming app (OBS, Streamlabs, XSplit, Wirecast, vMix, or any RTMP-compatible encoder).
2. Go to Settings → Stream → set Service to “Custom”.
3. Paste your Server URL and Stream Key from above.
4. Hit Start Streaming — we’ll pick it up instantly.

On the Credentials page those same four steps read: open your preferred encoder, choose Custom RTMP as the stream service, paste the Server URL and Stream Key, then start streaming and come back to Studio to go live. Either wording is the same path.

OBS walkthrough

1. Build a scene: add Display Capture, Window Capture, or a Game Capture source, plus Mic/Aux and Desktop Audio. Name the scene so you can switch later.
2. Settings → Stream → Service = Custom. Server = your Studio Server URL. Stream Key = your Studio Stream Key. Apply.
3. Settings → Output → Output Mode = Advanced. Video Encoder = x264 or a hardware encoder (Apple VT, NVENC, Quick Sync). Rate Control = CBR. Keyframe Interval = 2. Audio Encoder = AAC.
4. Settings → Video → pick a Base and Output canvas (1920×1080 or 1280×720) and 30 or 60 fps. Keep the output at a 16:9 ratio so the Studio preview fills the player.
5. Click Start Streaming. Leave the encoder running. Switch back to Whistlr Live Studio and watch the center preview.

Read the preview before you go live

• Ready when you are — Studio has not seen a publish yet. Hit Start Streaming in the encoder.
• Almost there… — we found your stream and are setting up the preview.
• Preview is receiving — the center player is playing your program feed. You are still offline on Whistlr until you tap Go Live.
• Hang tight, we’re working on it — the encode is arriving but the preview needs a moment. Try H.264 Main or Baseline.
• Stream ended — the encoder stopped. Restart it anytime and Studio reconnects automatically.

Title and category are required before Whistlr will take you live. They are how viewers find the broadcast in Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, and the iOS app. Open the Stream Information sheet from the white Go Live button on the preview, or by clicking the title line under the player while you are offline (it reads Add a title until you set one).

1. Wait until the preview is receiving, so you know the encoder is healthy.
2. Tap Go Live. The sheet header is Stream Information.
3. Title — type up to 100 characters. A live counter shows 0/100 through 100/100. The Go Live button in the sheet stays disabled until the title is more than whitespace.
4. Category — open the picker, search if you want, and choose one row. Studio defaults to Just Chatting.
5. Review both fields. Tap Go Live to distribute, or Cancel to keep editing without going live.

Going live is the moment Studio distributes the preview you already have. Until that tap, only you can see the encode. After it, one broadcast lands on every Whistlr live surface. Streaming is free on personal and business accounts. Monetization (Gems, live earnings, withdrawals) unlocks with a verified Business+ account — it is not required to go live.

Quick start

1. Connect — copy Studio Credentials, paste them into a Custom RTMP service, and verify the Studio preview.
2. Stream — start the encoder, wait for the Whistlr Live Studio preview, then set Title and Category in Stream Information.
3. Go Live Everywhere — confirm Go Live to distribute the stream platform-wide, with monetization if it is unlocked on the account.

What happens when you confirm

• The sheet button reads Starting… and then closes. A red LIVE pill appears in the Studio header.
• The same broadcast is surfaced to Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, and the iOS app. You do not configure each surface.
• Under the player, the title you entered replaces Add a title. The meta line switches from Offline · Category to viewer count, watch time, and category.
• End stream appears next to your avatar row. Keep the encoder running.
• Visit Stream appears in the header once the stream is live and has been surfaced. It opens your public live page in a new tab so you can see what viewers see.
• Business accounts keep Dashboard (session analytics and, when unlocked, gems received) and Credentials. Personal accounts keep Credentials and can still chat and go live — they simply do not get the WTC or Earnings tabs.

Ending the stream takes you offline on Whistlr. The encoder can keep publishing into the private preview, but viewers lose the live and cannot rejoin until you go live again with a new Stream Information pass.

1. Tap End stream under the player (visible only while you are live).
2. Read the confirm: “End stream? This takes you offline right now. Viewers will lose the live and cannot rejoin until you go live again.”
3. Tap Cancel to stay live, or End stream to confirm.
4. The LIVE pill and Visit Stream disappear. The title line returns to Add a title. The preview overlay comes back so you can start the next session.

• Stop the encoder when you are done for the day so you are not still publishing into an offline studio.
• To run another show, keep or replace the Custom RTMP settings, hit Start Streaming, wait for preview, open Stream Information, and Go Live again.
• If you reset the stream key between shows, paste the new key before the next Start Streaming.

Publishing on Whistlr Live Studio means going live across the Whistlr network. It is not the same action as publishing a Gem in WTC. One Go Live sends the same broadcast into every live feed — Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, and your profile — plus whistlr.network and the iOS app. Viewers find you without you setting up each surface.

whistlr.studio is the studio product: preview, Stream Information, chat, and the Go Live control. whistlr.network is the social and network home, where people already browse, follow, and watch. Studio is how you start the broadcast. The network is where the audience already lives.

What you do in Studio before the network sees you

Distribution is automatic. The only choices that travel with the live are the ones you set in Stream Information: a title (required, up to 100 characters) and a category such as Just Chatting, Gaming, Music & Performance, IRL, or Educational. Those two fields are how a stranger in Discover or Highlights understands the room before they tap in.

1. Confirm the studio preview is running.
2. Open Stream Information and write a title people can scan in a feed.
3. Pick the category that matches what is actually on camera.
4. Press Go Live. The broadcast is now on the network.
5. When the LIVE badge is on and the session is surfaced, use Visit Stream to open the public live page.

If you are looking for how to put a Gem in your store, that is a different guide. Publishing a Gem changes what supporters can send. Going live is how the room itself appears on Whistlr.

People do not hunt for a hidden studio URL. They open the surfaces they already use. Flow, Highlights, Following, and Discover are the four live feeds a Go Live fills at once. Each door is a different reason to tap your room. The picture, the title, and the category are the same everywhere.

Flow

Flow is the live video home on Whistlr. Viewers who came to watch something now — not a replay, not a post — land here first. When you go live, your session joins that home with everyone else who is on air. You do not apply to appear in Flow, and there is no follower gate. A first-time streamer and a nightly host use the same Go Live.

Highlights

Highlights is the live streamer rail — the strip of rooms in progress that sits beside other browsing. Someone scrolling the network can see that you are live without opening Flow on purpose. Treat Highlights as a passerby surface: a clear title and an honest category do more work here than a long explanation.

Following

Following is for people who already chose you. When they open their Following feed, your live is the session they expected. You cannot skip Flow and “only go to followers.” The same Go Live reaches new viewers and returning ones. Following is how your circle finds you quickly; it is not a private mode.

Discover

Discover is how strangers meet the room. It is the feed for people who do not follow you yet and were not searching your name. Category is the handle they grab: Gaming sits with Gaming, Cooking & Food with Cooking & Food, Podcast & Talk Show with talk. Pick the category that matches the hour you are in, not the category you wish you were known for.

Title and category are the only distribution copy you write. Change them in Stream Information before you go live so every feed shows the same honest card. After you end the stream, the live cards leave those feeds. Go live again whenever you are ready — there is no cooldown and no follower minimum to re-enter Flow, Highlights, Following, or Discover.

Your profile is a permanent address on the network. Followers, searchers, and anyone with your link open it whether you are live or not. While you are on air, that same profile is one of the places the broadcast appears. A person who bookmarked you last week does not need Flow or Discover — they open you and join.

Two homes, one Whistlr ID

whistlr.studio is where you produce the show. whistlr.network is where the rest of Whistlr lives — profiles, follows, conversation, and the live feeds listed above. You sign in with the same Whistlr ID. You do not keep a studio audience and a network audience. People who follow you on the network are the people who see you in Following and on your profile when you press Go Live.

Share the profile when you want a link that still makes sense tomorrow. Share Visit Stream’s public live page when you want someone to land in this session right now. Both resolve to the same creator. The live page is the session; the profile is you.

Prize Kingdoms on /games

Prize Kingdoms is a related destination on whistlr.studio/games — the Games surface where play and rewards connect. You can stream it, play it, and earn Gems from your community while you are live. It is another door on the same network, not a second encoder or a second Go Live. If the session is a Prize Kingdoms hour, say so in the title and pick the category that matches; viewers coming from /games still join the same room everyone else joins.

Keep the profile current the same way you keep Stream Information honest: photo, name, and bio should match the person who appears on camera. Distribution puts the live in front of people. The profile is what they check before they follow.

The same Go Live that fills Flow also appears in the Whistlr Network iOS app. Viewers do not install a studio app to watch you. They download Whistlr Network from the App Store, sign in with their Whistlr ID, and find you in the same live feeds they use on the web — Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, and your profile.

Where a viewer can open the room

• whistlr.network in a browser — the social home, including every live feed.
• The Whistlr Network iOS app — the same network, in a pocket.
• The public live page — the session URL Visit Stream opens from Studio.
• Your profile — the lasting address, live or not.

You do not publish an “iOS version” of the stream. Phone and desktop watchers receive the same broadcast. Chat is the same room. Title and category are the same card. If someone asks for a mobile link, send the profile or the public live page. Both work in the app and in the browser.

Using Visit Stream as the host

Visit Stream is how you step out of the cockpit and into the public page. It is hidden until the broadcast is live and surfaced, so a dark button is a useful signal: the network cannot open you yet. Once it appears, use it the way a viewer would.

1. Wait for the LIVE badge and for Visit Stream to show in the studio chrome.
2. Open it in a new tab. Confirm the title, category, and chat match Studio.
3. Copy that public live page when you want a “watch right now” link.
4. Copy your whistlr.network profile when you want a link that still works after you end the stream.

If a guest is on a laptop, send the public live page or the network profile. If they are on an iPhone, the same links open in the browser or in the Whistlr Network app. You are not responsible for installing anything on their device beyond pointing them at Whistlr.

You can stream 24/7 and grow an audience for free. There is no subscription to stay live, no follower minimum to appear in the feeds, and no 30-day wait before the next session. Whistlr Live Studio is built for people who want the room open around the clock and for people who only go live on Thursday nights. Both press the same Go Live.

What “free” covers

• Starting a stream from Studio — no subscription.
• Staying live as long as you want, including overnight and always-on rooms.
• Landing in Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, and iOS.
• Going live on day one. There is no follower gate.

Earning is optional and separate. Viewers can send Gems only after you apply for a Business+ account and publish Gems in WTC. Until then, monetization stays locked — streaming does not. You can build the circle first and apply when you are ready to get paid.

How an always-on room still gets found

A room that never ends still needs a title people can read at 3 a.m. and a category that matches what is on screen. If the show changes — Just Chatting in the afternoon, Gaming at night — update Stream Information before the next Go Live so Discover and Highlights stay honest. End the stream when you need to; there is no penalty for coming back. Visit Stream remains the check that the public live page matches the hour you think you are hosting.

A short distribution checklist

1. Treat Go Live as publishing to the network, not as a local preview.
2. Write a title and pick a category in Stream Information.
3. Press Go Live once. Do not hunt for per-feed settings.
4. Confirm Visit Stream opens the public live page.
5. Point people at your whistlr.network profile and, when you are on air, at the live page.
6. Stay live as long as the room should stay open. Streaming stays free.

That is the whole publishing path. One studio, one Go Live, every Whistlr screen — Flow, Highlights, Following, Discover, your profile, whistlr.network, the iOS app, and destinations such as Prize Kingdoms on /games. Viewers find you. You keep the room on.

Once you are live in Whistlr Creator Studio, the Stream tab is the cockpit. The preview stays on screen. A red LIVE pill sits in the header. Business+ accounts switch the center pane with Dashboard and Credentials chips under the title. Live chat is the dedicated right rail on that same Stream workspace — open it from the header chat toggle. This page is the broadcast itself, not first-time Go Live.

Every signed-in creator can stream. Dashboard Analytics, the Gems rail, session revenue, and payouts stay on Business+. Without Business+, Stream stays on Studio Credentials and the left rail is Viewers only.

The three Stream surfaces (Business+)

• Dashboard — session Analytics: Revenue this stream (USD), gems received, Broadcast, Ingest, Preview.
• Chat — right rail labeled Live chat. Not a second center page; the header toggle opens it.
• Credentials — Server URL, Stream Key (Show / Hide / Copy), Reset Stream Key, encoder recap if you must re-paste mid-session.
• Everyone also gets the hero preview, stream meta (title, @username, badge, Friends / Friend Of, watching · watch time · category), and End stream.

Dashboard is labeled Analytics. The hero number is Revenue this stream — this live’s gem payments only. Broadcast always reads Creator Studio with your username and category. Ingest is idle, publishing, or ended plus the preview status sentence. Preview is Receiving when the player has the live, otherwise Waiting.

The title reads Untitled stream if you left it empty. Clicking it opens Stream Information only when you are offline — you do not retitle from that click during the live. When the live is surfaced, Visit Stream in the header opens the public page. WTC and Earnings hide the hero preview; Analytics and Help shrink it to a floating player with a LIVE + viewer overlay.

Live chat is the right-hand rail. Open or close it from the header panel control. On smaller widths it overlays the preview — dismiss with the rail close control or the dimmed backdrop. Dashboard never replaces this rail.

Offline, the composer is disabled (Go live to chat) and an empty rail says Chat is offline. After Go Live it becomes Welcome to live chat — Messages from your room will float up here — and the field reads Send a message.

1. Confirm the LIVE pill is on and the composer is enabled.
2. Type up to 200 characters.
3. Press Enter or the send control. Empty sends do nothing.
4. Your line appears with your avatar and username.

How lines look

Each line shows an avatar (photo, colored initial, or the Whistlr mark on system lines), a username, and the body. Names use a stable color so the same person is easy to track. Verified and business accounts keep their badge next to the name. The rail keeps the latest stretch of the room and stays pinned to the bottom unless you scroll up.

Track the room in three places: watching on stream meta, the Viewers rail, and (Business+) the gem feed plus Dashboard revenue. The watching number is the same figure on the title row, the Viewers header, and the Analytics/Help preview overlay.

Live meta under @username is “N watching · watch time · category.” Watch time starts with the session — 12m, then 1:05 once you pass an hour. Offline it reads “Offline · category.” Friends and Friend Of stay next to your name.

The Viewers rail

Left rail → Viewers (Business+ has Gems | Viewers; everyone else only has Viewers). Header: “N watching · M in chat” while live, or “Offline · M in chat.” The list is people who have spoken this session — text, emoji, or gift — not a silent-lurker roster. Each row is avatar, name, and “3 chats” or Watching. Empty: Waiting for viewers. Sorted by most recent chat. System lines do not create a row. Watching can be larger than in chat.

Supporters

A supporter is someone who sends a gem this live. On Stream you see them as they send: Gems cards, amber chat lines, Dashboard revenue. Help’s “Top Supporters — Leaderboard of Gem senders” is the ranked list on the Analytics tab, not a widget inside Stream Dashboard. Non-business lives still get watching, watch time, chat, and Viewers — not Gems or Dashboard revenue.

The left rail on Stream is Live Gems for Business+. The caption reads Real-time activity. This feed is this live only — it fills after you go live and waits empty when you are not in a session. It is the operator view of how viewers pay you during the broadcast.

What each send carries

Every live send includes a sender, a quantity, an optional message, and an amount. The left-rail card leads with overlapping avatars (sender on the creator), the sender name, the USD amount, then the message — or “Sent {gem name}” when they left it blank — plus the time. Quantity is on the send; the WTC Recent Gifts list prints it as × N for the same session.

Until you react, each card offers 👍, ❤️, and 🔥. Tap one; the buttons go away and that emoji stays. That is acknowledgement, not a chat thread. Empty feed: Waiting for Gems — Support will appear here as it happens. New cards appear at the top. Dashboard revenue and gems-received are this list’s running total.

1. Stay on Stream with the left rail on Gems.
2. Read amount and message before you talk over it.
3. React on the card for a one-tap thanks; say their name in Live chat if you want the room to hear it.
4. Check Dashboard when you want the USD total without scanning cards.

Session health is whether the live is on, whether preview is receiving, how long you have been up, and how you leave cleanly. The header pill, stream meta, Dashboard Ingest / Preview, and the preview overlay cover it — there is no separate status console.

• Header LIVE pill — red, pulsing, only while live.
• N watching — same count on the title row, Viewers header, and Analytics/Help overlay.
• Watch time — elapsed since session start, on the title row.
• Visit Stream — public page, only while live and surfaced.
• Preview stays the hero on Stream and Viewers. Analytics/Help float it with LIVE + viewers. WTC/Earnings hide it.

End stream

End stream sits on the meta row while you are live. It does not drop you immediately.

1. Click End stream.
2. Read “End stream?” — This takes you offline right now. Viewers will lose the live and cannot rejoin until you go live again.
3. Cancel, press Escape, or click the backdrop to stay live.
4. End stream (red) to go offline.

After you confirm, the LIVE pill and Visit Stream go away, watching resets, chat clears, the gem feed waits for the next live, and the preview returns to the offline overlay. You need a new Go Live before viewers can come back.

Your Whistlr profile is how viewers find you on a live stream, in chat, and across the Whistlr Network. Open it from Creator Live Studio: click the gear in the header (Account menu) and choose Edit profile. The editor fills the studio with a live preview and a Save control — Cancel returns you to the cockpit without writing anything.

The top of the editor is a four-tab media strip: Edit, Cover, Halo, and Blip. Edit is your still photo. Cover is the tall header that frames your name, badge, category, bio, mood, website, and friend counts. Halo is the live avatar decoration picker. Blip is a short looping video that becomes your animated profile photo. Switch tabs freely — nothing publishes until you tap Save.

Photo, cover, and Blip limits

If you have never set a cover, Whistlr uses your avatar as the default header. After you add a custom cover you can Remove cover and fall back to that default. Blips have their own Remove Blip control. Cover Guidelines require Community Guidelines — no nudity, violence, or hateful content — and covers that break the rules can be removed without notice.

Display fields the form actually has

The form is split for phone and desktop, but both write the same Whistlr profile. Full name and username are required. Usernames are 2–30 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, dots, and underscores only. The field sanitizes as you type and checks availability before you save. Use a name that follows Community Guidelines.

• Full name (required, up to 100 characters) and username (required, up to 30).
• Display name (desktop, up to 100) — the friendlier name next to your handle.
• Bio (160 characters, with a live count).
• Up to three website links. Add another link until you hit 3/3; extra rows can be removed.
• Location — search for a city and pick a place. The field is not free-typed.
• Category — Artist, Musician, Creator, Content Creator, Influencer, Entrepreneur, Developer, Designer, Writer, Photographer, Videographer, Podcaster, Streamer, Gamer, Athlete, Coach, Fitness, Chef, Food Blogger, Fashion, Beauty, Travel, Lifestyle, Educator, Journalist, Activist, Business, Brand, Public Figure, Politician, Nonprofit, or Other.
• Private Circle — when on, only approved members can see your posts.
• Pronouns (desktop): He/Him, She/Her, They/Them, He/They, She/They, Any Pronouns, Ask My Pronouns.
• Gender: Male, Female, Non-binary, Custom, or Prefer not to say. Custom unlocks a Custom Gender field (50 characters).
• Birth date and Current Mood (a long list of public vibes, from Vibin’ to Locked In).
• Relationship status and an optional partner picked from people who already follow you. Choosing a partner sends them a relationship request. Setting status back to Single ends the active relationship.
• Contact: account email (shown as private on mobile), phone, plus desktop WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn handles (without the @).
• Desktop Profile Features: an optional profile button type (None, Book, Reserve, Order Food, Call, Text, Email, Get Directions, Learn More, Shop Now, Sign Up, Watch, Listen, Download, Contact, Subscribe) and a button URL. If a profile song or flow is already on the account, you can mute or remove it here.
• Desktop Account Settings toggles: Similar Account Suggestions (“Let others discover your profile”) and Activity Status (“Let others see when you’re active”).

Account type is not a dropdown on this form. The editor loads Personal, Creator, or Business from your account and uses it to draw the verification seal on the cover preview. To move from a personal streamer to a monetized Business+ account, apply at the official partners site — do not look for a type switch in Edit profile.

A Halo is a live avatar decoration that frames your photo while you stream and on your profile. Open Edit profile, tap Halo, and you get a large preview of your face plus a full-width grid of named decorations. The first cell is None — tap it to clear a Halo. Every other cell is a named Halo; the selected name appears under the preview.

1. Open Account menu → Edit profile → Halo.
2. Tap a Halo in the grid. The preview updates immediately on your photo.
3. Scroll the grid — more decorations load as you move.
4. Hit Save to lock the Halo on your profile. Cancel or Discard leaves the previous decoration in place.

If the catalog is empty, the picker says “No Halos available yet.” The cover preview also wears the selected Halo around your face so you can see how the header, photo, and decoration sit together before you publish.

Where viewers see your look

• Studio stream meta — your avatar (with Halo) and @username sit above the live session.
• Live chat — your display name and any verification seal appear next to messages you send.
• Your public profile header — name, category, bio, mood, websites, and friend counts under the cover.

Verification badges

A seal-shaped checkmark can appear next to your name on the cover preview, on studio stream meta, and next to names in live chat. The badge is not a sticker you pick in Edit profile. It appears only when your account type and verification status allow it.

The Account menu is the gear on the right of the Creator Live Studio header. It opens a compact sheet with your avatar, display name (or full name, then username), and @handle. From there you manage the profile, jump to official Whistlr properties, and sign out of Studio.

Business accounts get a Help tab in Creator Live Studio. The page title is Creator Live Studio Guide, with the kicker Help Center and a search box: “Search setup, gems, payouts…”. Search filters the six articles on the page. If nothing matches, the guide suggests trying “stream key”, “OBS”, “gems”, or “payouts”.

1. Copy your Server URL and Stream Key from Stream ingest.
2. In your encoder: Settings → Stream → Service = Custom. Paste both values.
3. Start Streaming and wait for the Studio preview.
4. Set Title and Category, then go live. Publish Gems from the WTC tab when you are ready to earn.

Public help lives at /support (Support — stream keys, payouts, and monetization). Use it when you are not signed into a business Studio, or when you want the marketing-site version of the same topics. Product news stays on /journey. These Notes pages are the long-form studio documentation.

Whistlr Live Studio is operated by ETAProjects Inc. (ETAPX). The company home is etapx.us. Legal and trust pages are public and do not require a Studio login.

What we will never ask you to do

• We do not sell access to your stream key, Server URL, or Studio login. Anyone offering a “faster ingest,” a “verified badge pack,” or a “Business+ unlock” outside partners.whistlr.business is not us.
• Treat the Server URL and Stream Key as secrets. Paste them only into your own encoder. Do not drop them in Discord, chat, or a shared document.
• If a key was shared, Reset Stream Key in Help → Stream ingest and update the encoder before you go live again.
• Apply for Business+ only at partners.whistlr.business. After verification, Gems, live earnings, and withdrawals unlock in Studio. Until then you can still stream — monetization stays locked, streaming does not.

Whistlr is for adults 18 and older. You own what you stream; you also agree to Community Guidelines — no illegal activity, harassment, hate, or explicit sexual content. Cover videos and Blips are public-facing media and follow the same rules. You can correct profile fields anytime in Edit profile. Privacy and terms questions go through the published /privacy and /terms-and-conditions pages, not through a third-party “security audit” pitch.
