in.between on Web, iOS, and Desktop: One Account
Journal at home and on the go — web, iOS, and desktop with one account and the same private room across every surface.
in.between is built so you can journal at home and on the go: web, iOS, and desktop, under one account, in the same private room. Catch a fragment on your phone at 2am, continue the Chat with Nalani on a laptop in the morning, or open Markers and Index from whichever screen is in reach. This guide explains what cross-platform access means for your nights, how one account keeps continuity without turning the journal into a public feed, and how to choose web, iOS, or desktop for different moments without losing privacy.
One Account, Same Private Room Cross-platform release is not a set of disconnected apps with separate journals. You sign in with one account so Nalani's memory of your nights, your Chat history, Imagine stills in Markers, and threads in Index and Case File stay continuous. The room does not fork into a "phone dream life" and a "desktop dream life." Wherever you open in.between, you are returning to the same private space — still private to you, still not a feed, still scoped so Nalani remembers your nights only.
ETAPX designed in.between for the hour that disappears and for the rest of the day when leftover feeling remains. Late-night sessions are a core reason the product exists; midnight to 4am is poorly served by tools that assume a desk and a full keyboard. Mobile access makes Catch and Talk possible while the night is still close. Web and desktop make longer Brainstorm sessions, review of Markers, and careful Keep work in Index and Case File more comfortable. Cross-platform support exists so the practice can follow the hour, not so the journal can be broadcast on every surface.
Web, iOS, and desktop. One account. The same private room — at home and on the go.
When to Use iOS Use iOS when the night is still close and the phone is already in your hand. Catch by writing or speaking before breakfast takes the fragment. Open Chat when you need one honest question at a time. Companion Mode is especially useful on mobile for keeping things personal beyond a single morning recap — Nalani does not clock out after the first pass. Push yourself less to produce a perfect entry; a short Catch on iOS often preserves more than waiting until you are at a desk and the dream has already dissolved.
  • iOS — Catch fast: Best for fragments, voice-adjacent moments, and 2am presence.
  • iOS — Companion on the go: Continue personal Chat when leftover feeling shows up during the day.
  • Web — Universal door: Open the same room from a browser when you are on a machine without the native app.
  • Desktop — Longer stays: Comfortable for Brainstorm, reviewing Markers, and Keep work in Index or Case File.
  • One account sync: Continuity of nights and companion memory across those surfaces.
  • Same privacy rules: Private to you, not sold, encrypted in transit, delete anytime — on every platform.
When to Use Web Web is the universal door: useful on shared or temporary machines, Chromebooks, or any modern browser when you have not installed a native client. Sign in to the same account and you should find the same private room — not a stripped demo journal. Prefer web when you need quick access without installing software, and sign out when you leave a machine that is not yours. Because encryption in transit protects data on the network path, the larger risk on web is often the physical or shared-session context: lock the screen, avoid saving passwords on borrowed profiles, and close the tab when you are done.
Web does not change the product model. There is still no public feed of nights. Nalani is still a companion who asks questions rather than scoring sleep. Markers, Index, and Case File still exist so recurring people and places can accumulate privately. Treat browser access as another entrance to the same room, with the same honesty label: Nalani is AI, not a licensed professional, and crisis care still takes priority over dream framing when it must.
When to Use Desktop Desktop shines when you have time to Stay with a thread: longer Chat, Brainstorm out loud with fewer interruptions, reviewing a gallery of Markers, or organizing Index and Case File so recurrence is easier to see. Home evenings, weekend mornings, or quiet work breaks can be better on a larger screen even if the original Catch happened on iOS at night. The value of desktop is depth and comfort, not a different account or a more "public" mode. The journal remains private; desktop simply gives the Keep step more room.
  • Start on iOS, continue on desktop: Catch the fragment at night; deepen with Nalani when you have a keyboard.
  • Start on web, continue on iOS: Use whatever door is open; memory stays with the account.
  • Review on desktop: Scan Markers and Index when you want to notice patterns across nights.
  • Talk on any surface: Chat and Brainstorm are available where the room is — choose by comfort, not by feature lockout theater.
  • Delete from any door: Removal remains yours; platform choice does not trap history.
  • Secure every door: Device locks and sign-out habits matter more as you add platforms.
Continuity Without a Feed Cross-platform sync exists so your private history compounds — every night you log can make Nalani's memory sharper — not so nights can trend. The Journey framing is explicit: journal at home and on the go, one account, the same private room. That is the opposite of multi-platform social posting. You are not maintaining a presence; you are maintaining a journal and a companion relationship that can follow you from bedside to desk without asking you to perform for followers.
Because memory and history accumulate across devices, privacy habits should too. A phone without a passcode, a desktop session left unlocked, or a web login forgotten on a library computer all open the same room. Pair cross-platform convenience with the privacy article's guidance: private to you, no sale, encrypted in transit, delete anytime, and ordinary device hygiene. Cross-platform access multiplies usefulness; it should not multiply exposure.
Choosing a Surface for the Hour You Are In If the dream is dissolving now, use iOS or whatever is closest and Catch. If you need presence more than structure, open Chat or Companion Mode on any platform. If you are ready to Keep — to file a recurring person into Index, to place a still among Markers, to extend a Case File — prefer the screen where you will actually finish the thought. If you are away from your usual devices, use web, then return to iOS or desktop later. The "right" platform is the one that lets you hold what showed up without turning the night into a chore or a post.
The practice follows the hour. The account holds the room. The feed never arrives.
in.between is the first product ETAPX shipped from a culture-first studio that builds platforms people can believe in. Cross-platform web, iOS, and desktop support is how that private room stays reachable when life moves — bedside, kitchen table, travel laptop — while Nalani's questions stay rooted in your own nights. For how memory sharpens without becoming public, read the memory and history article. For encryption, no-sale, and delete controls that apply on every surface, read the privacy guide. Together they describe one journal, one companion, many doors, and no audience.
