The Whistlr Studio dashboard at whistlr.studio got a huge upgrade: an adaptive Home, a rebuilt Stream Manager with live stats and bitrate, Quick Actions, Supporters, Revenue, and Whistlr Pay.

The Whistlr Studio dashboard just got its biggest upgrade yet. The Creator Dashboard at whistlr.studio has been rebuilt from the ground up around the hours creators actually spend on air: a new home screen that guides you from setup to your first payout, a reorganized side navigation, a completely rebuilt Stream Manager with live stats, a bitrate monitor, customizable Quick Actions, and an Activity Feed, plus redesigned analytics, a Supporters page built for thanking people, a deeper Revenue view, and Whistlr Pay for cashing out. This guide walks through everything new in the Whistlr Studio dashboard, how each part works, what's free and what unlocks with Business+, and how to get the most out of it whether you're about to go live for the first time or streaming every night.

A quick note on names, since we get asked often. This article is about the creator dashboard at whistlr.studio, the professional home inside Creator Studio that many of you simply call the Whistlr Studio dashboard. It's not the Whistlr Studio editing app, which is where you cut and caption your videos. When we first introduced the dashboard in January, it was a streaming command center built around OBS Studio, chat, and Gems. Creators have pushed it much further since, and this upgrade is the result of everything they asked for.

What's New in the Whistlr Studio Dashboard

The upgrade touches nearly every screen. Here's the overview before we dig into each part.

  • A new Home screen: A Features For You carousel, an Insights For You section with Studio Tips, a Path to Earning checklist, and Analytics Highlights comparing last week with this week.
  • Reorganized navigation: A collapsible side nav grouped into Analytics, Community, Content, Monetization, Moderation, and Settings, with search for people and streamers built in.
  • A rebuilt Stream Manager: Docked panels, a live stat strip with Session, Viewers, Friends, Revenue, and Bitrate, a stream preview, stream status, Quick Actions, an Activity Feed, and your chat, all on one screen.
  • A better Edit Stream Info: Title, category, language, tags, content classification, and your go-live notification in one place.
  • Redesigned analytics: Overview, Content, Stream Summary, Audience, and Followers, with flexible periods and fair comparisons.
  • Supporters, Revenue, and Whistlr Pay: A reaction queue for thanking supporters, a full earnings breakdown, and a Creator Wallet with standard and instant payouts.

A Home Screen That Knows Where You Are

The old dashboard home showed every creator the same thing. The new one adapts to where you are in your creator journey. A brand-new creator sees the steps to get live. A creator who's set up sees the steps to start earning. A creator who's earning sees how this week compares with last.

Features For You

At the top of Home, a scrolling carousel of cards highlights the next things worth doing, each with a single button that takes you straight there. Cards cover connecting your encoder, setting your stream info, publishing your Gems, starting to earn with Business+, getting paid with Whistlr Pay, making your channel yours with a new avatar, banner, and bio, and taking a quick tour of Creator Studio. Finished something or not interested? Dismiss the card, and the carousel moves on to what's next. When everything's done, Home tells you so.

Path to Earning

Path to Earning is a short checklist that shows exactly how far you are from your first payout: connect your encoder, get Business+ verified, connect Whistlr Pay, and receive your first Gem. Each step checks itself off as you complete it, so you always know what's left. It turns monetization from a confusing set of settings into a clear four-step path.

Analytics Highlights and Studio Tips

Once you're earning, the side rail shows Analytics Highlights: your Revenue, Gems Sent, and Supporters, compared last week versus this week. It's the fastest possible answer to "how am I doing?" every time you open the dashboard. Below that, Insights For You offers Studio Tips, short explanations of how Gems and Whistlr Pay work, with links to learn ways to improve and promote your channel.

"The dashboard used to assume you already knew what to do. Now it meets you where you are. If you've never streamed, it gets you live. If you're live but not earning, it shows you the path. If you're earning, it shows you how this week compares. Every creator should open Studio and immediately know their next move."

A Side Navigation Built Around How Creators Work

As the dashboard grew, finding things got harder. The new side navigation fixes that by grouping everything around the jobs creators do, and it collapses to icons when you want more room for your stream.

  • Home, Theater, Stream Manager, and Alerts: Your starting point, a place to discover and watch live streams without leaving the dashboard, your broadcast control room, and your notifications.
  • Analytics: Overview, Content, and Stream Summary, plus Audience and Followers under a Viewers heading.
  • Community: Supporters, Inbox, Activity, Your Profile, and Search.
  • Content: Video Producer for your live history and replays, Drafts, Archived Posts, and Story Archive.
  • Monetization: Gems, Setup, Revenue, Whistlr Pay, and Ads Manager.
  • Moderation: Moderation settings and Blocked Accounts.
  • Settings: Stream settings, your Channel, and Account Center.
  • Help: Streaming Tools, the Creator Guide, and Guidelines & Safety.

The group you're working in stays expanded as you move around, so you don't lose your place. A search bar at the top of the dashboard finds people and streamers, and shows who's live right now.

Stream Manager, Rebuilt

Stream Manager is the screen you live in while you're on air, and it's where this upgrade goes deepest. It has been rebuilt as a set of docked panels, each with its own title bar and menu, so the information you need is arranged around your stream instead of buried in tabs.

The Live Stat Strip

Across the top of Stream Manager, a strip of stat tiles shows the numbers that matter during a broadcast: how long your session has been running, how many viewers are watching, how many of your friends are in the room, how much revenue the session has earned, and your stream status. Watching session revenue climb while you stream is one of the most motivating things a creator can see, and now it's always in view.

A Bitrate Monitor That Catches Problems Early

The Bitrate tile shows your incoming stream bitrate as a live sparkline, sampled every two seconds, so you can see your connection's health over the last minute or so at a glance. Next to the preview, a stream status card tells you in plain language what's happening with your signal: when your stream is coming in, when the signal has been received, and when your streaming app has stopped sending. If something goes wrong, you'll know before your chat tells you.

Preview and Stream Info

A preview of your stream sits at the center of Stream Manager, with your stream info card underneath it. Edit Stream Info has been redesigned to bring every setting into one modal: your title, category with search, language, tags, content classification, and your go-live notification. A good title and category help people browsing Live know what they're walking into, and a go-live notification brings your followers in the moment you start.

Quick Actions

Quick Actions is a grid of colored tiles for the things you do most during a stream, one tap each. Pin a product from your store to your live stream, unpin it when the moment passes, open your shop in a new tab, or jump into earning with Gems. Use the plus tile to choose which Quick Actions appear, and hide the ones you never use. Your layout is remembered in your browser, so your control room looks the way you set it up every time.

Activity Feed and Chat

The Activity Feed shows every Gem as it happens, with the supporter's name, the tier, and how many they sent, plus viewer activity. Filter it to Gems or viewers when you want to focus, or hide it when you need the space. Your chat sits alongside it, so you can read the room, thank supporters, and talk to viewers without leaving Stream Manager.

"When you're live, you can't afford to go hunting for information. The new Stream Manager puts the signal, the audience, and the money in front of you at the same time. The bitrate sparkline and stream status exist for one reason: so a creator finds out about a problem in seconds, from the dashboard, not minutes later from their chat."

— John Ridge, CTO, ETAPX

Connect Your Encoder

Stream Manager works with OBS Studio and any RTMP encoder. Get your Server URL and Stream Key from the dashboard, paste them into your encoder, and go live from Studio. Your scenes, overlays, and setup carry over, and the dashboard takes care of everything on the Whistlr side.

Analytics Inside the Dashboard

Analytics have been redesigned alongside the rest of the dashboard. They're organized into Overview, Content, Stream Summary, Audience, and Followers, all sharing one period you choose: the last 7, 28, 60, or 365 days, or a custom range, compared with the previous period of the same length.

  • Overview: Post views, profile views, likes, comments, reposts, and estimated rewards, with your engaged audience and top fans.
  • Content: Your top posts, performance by content type, watch behavior, viewer feedback, saves, and return views.
  • Stream Summary: Your LIVEs, peak viewers, Gems, new supporters, a best-time-to-go-LIVE heatmap, your Gem response rate, and WildDraw battle stats.
  • Audience: Who visits your profile, split into followers and non-followers, with gender, age, and location breakdowns once enough people list them.
  • Followers: New followers, unfollows, net growth, demographics, and a heatmap of when your followers are most active.

Every chart explains where its numbers come from, and sections that need more data tell you how much there is so far instead of showing you something misleading.

Supporters, Revenue, and Whistlr Pay

The money side of the dashboard was redesigned to answer three questions: who supported me, how much did I make, and how do I get it?

Supporters: A Reaction Queue for Thanking People

The Supporters page lists every Gem from your supporters, ready for a quick reaction. A Waiting on you count shows how many Gems you haven't reacted to yet, and you can sort and react right from the list. Reacting lets supporters know you saw their Gem, and it's the strongest driver of repeat support. The page also summarizes your Gems received, supporters, total revenue, average Gem, and average per supporter.

Revenue: The Full Picture of What You Earned

Revenue shows Gems, supporters, and payouts from your streams in one place. You'll find all-time earnings, gross volume, estimated take-home, your Gem mix, average per Gem and per supporter, new and returning supporters, your best day, and when your strongest days and times fall. Revenue also groups Gems into sessions, where Gems sent within 90 minutes of each other count as one session, so you can see your best and longest sessions and what each one earned on average. A previous-period comparison shows whether you're trending up.

Whistlr Pay: Your Creator Wallet

Whistlr Pay is where your Gem earnings become money in your bank. It shows your balance, lifetime Gems, gross, estimated take-home, paid out, and your payout history. Fees are simple and taken up front: Whistlr's 15% fee and Stripe card processing come out when a Gem is bought, never when you cash out. Then you choose how to get paid.

  • Standard payout: A transfer to your bank with no Whistlr fee. Funds typically arrive in one to two business days, with no 30-day hold and no net-30.
  • Instant payout: Minutes to an eligible debit card, with Stripe's fee shown before you confirm.

Whistlr Pay also keeps your payout account, bank accounts and cards, currency, and tax documents in one place.

Gems You Name and Price

In the Gems section, pick a template, rename it to fit your channel, and set a price anywhere from $0.50 to $500. Publish it, and it appears in your live chat right away. You can edit a published Gem's name or price, or unpublish it, at any time without leaving Studio.

"The Waiting on you counter changed how I stream. I used to miss half my Gems when chat got busy. Now I clear the queue at the end of every segment and thank everyone by name. My returning supporters went way up, and the Revenue page actually showed me my best sessions are the ones where I do that."

— Jules, live streamer on Whistlr

Free vs. Business+: What's Included in the Whistlr Studio Dashboard

The dashboard is free to use, and so is streaming. You can go live around the clock at no cost. Business+ doesn't change that. It adds the ways to earn and the tools that go with them.

  • Free for everyone: Going live, Stream Manager, Edit Stream Info, your channel and profile, Theater, Inbox, Activity, content tools, moderation, and settings.
  • Unlocked with Business+: Gems, Revenue, Whistlr Pay, Supporters, and the analytics sections. Locked items in the navigation open a sheet explaining what Business+ adds and how to apply.

Applying is a one-time process. You provide your business information, complete identity verification and Stripe onboarding, and receive your verification badge and seller tools. After that, Gems, earnings, and payouts all unlock in Studio together. Business+ accounts can also manage products, orders, and fulfillment through Whistlr GO and track shop sales in analytics.

How to Get Started With the Upgraded Dashboard

If you already use Creator Studio, the upgrade is waiting for you the next time you sign in. If you're new, here's how to get set up.

  1. Sign in at whistlr.studio: Use your Whistlr account. There's no separate login.
  2. Follow Features For You: Work through the cards on Home, starting with connecting your encoder and setting your stream info.
  3. Connect your encoder: Copy your Server URL and Stream Key into OBS Studio or another RTMP encoder.
  4. Customize Stream Manager: Choose your Quick Actions and arrange your panels the way you like them.
  5. Apply for Business+ when you're ready to earn: Complete verification, then publish your Gems and connect Whistlr Pay.
  6. Go live: Watch the stat strip, keep an eye on the bitrate sparkline, and react to Gems from the Activity Feed.
  7. Review after every stream: Clear your Supporters queue, check Revenue and Stream Summary, and plan your next broadcast.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of the New Dashboard

  • Start every session on Home: Analytics Highlights tells you in seconds whether this week is ahead of last week.
  • Trim your Quick Actions: Keep only the tiles you actually use mid-stream, so the right one is always one tap away.
  • Watch the bitrate before you go live: Start your encoder, wait for the signal to come in, and check that the sparkline is steady.
  • Fill out stream info every time: A clear title, category, and tags help new viewers find you on Live.
  • Clear Waiting on you after every segment: Reacting to Gems is the best way to turn first-time supporters into regulars.
  • Use Revenue sessions to plan: Look at your best and longest sessions to decide how long and when to stream.
  • Choose standard payouts by default: Save instant payouts for when you genuinely need funds right away.

"Creators run real businesses on Whistlr, and they deserve a dashboard that treats the work that way. This upgrade is about respect for their time. Everything you need while you're live is on one screen, everything you need afterward is a click away, and the path from your first stream to your first payout is laid out clearly from day one."
